Southern California trails
Rode Hungry Valley (near Gorman on the I-5) this weekend. Lots of flies!!! Some of the trails got ridden when they were mud, and now have dried to form a weird, rutted hardpack (like pavement). If you had one tire on the hardpack and one on soft stuff, it would throw the bike sideways.

it still the same. when driving there, go past the lake and turn left at miller canyon. there should be a sign there. when you pull in there don't go left go right down the dirt road and park. also stop at either the cheveron buy the mcdonald or the mini mart on the way a pay for the day pass it's 5 bucks.

From Miller Canyon, you can ride up the fire roads to Pinnacles (behind Lake Arrowhead) staging area. From there, you can pick up a bunch of single track woods trails (my favorite riding area in So. Calif.!!), and ride down to Deep Creek, and over toward Big Bear. Or you can drive up to Pinnacles, and stage from there.

Hey YZ Guy,
How often do you guys ride up at Big Bear. I've not ridden up there; the trails are pretty nice huh?
