DONE name chosen ! great job 1 st obstacle killed . Badittude will give us something tomorrow hopefully good . it looks like a maybe on some insurance and then try to get funding from our taxex we pay on fuel our off road tax that is ! Any other options we are missing .

Oh we need to officiate our club also ,name officers and such .

We need to do a sit down somewhere centeraly located so all can attend and decide whom is our strong speaker , our treasurer will need to be some one with accounting exp. our leader for The pres/vise pres . we'll have to have a unanimous vote on who does what and then finalize and get our chapter in the state registered .

Edit # 2 .. Treasurer . I have a person willing to handle this . My spouse , who runs a business accounting , though it is still a democracy . votes on the meeting once we get a date set .

Good, another bridge crossed - we have a name! looks like we are rollin.
Sorry, it doesnt look like i'll be able to be at the dunes for the 4th for the meeting. I'm sure someone will take some good notes and pass it on or email it to the others.

I guess we dont know about startup costs yet until meetings and stuff are held with the landowners??
You know, I'm not a rich dude or anything, but, considering we are helping the sport, and our families, and having a potentially good place to ride (thats alot closer for me) by doing this thing, I would be willing to invest whatever I could to help out.

Hey, do we need to see about other insurance people or do you all have someone that you prefer to deal with? I know a few insurance people.

badchad - I pm'ed you with the info you wanted.

20, Everyone who knows anyone should try. Maybe you can get a better deal for us. A few minutes of everyones time is what it will take. Anyone spotted any land elsewhere?

I will try some insurance companies around Lake Charles.

All land owners around here are sugar cane farmers and will not allow us to ride due to crop reduction , all though i am able to have a few freinds around and there is a 1/2 mile area that we can drag race on just for fun with a few play areas small jumps and the sort we had a trail section but it's small mostly for just running around . I'll stop and see a few more dealers as i am also looking for a place to hold my training classes . . they may be able to help with some land issues .

Everyone is coming together nicely here! Teamwork is what it's going to take guys. By all means, anyone and everyone who knows of land for sale or lease, knows land owners, insurance agants, BANKERS! LOL....well, ya'll get the drift. Remember, it's not just who we are it's who we all know.

Shaunonl1, were you able to open the attachment?

I own 3+ acres of land that we could meet on, but it would not be much to ride on.....way too small. However, we could group up there from time to time.
