When is the next trip to Sand Lake???
Hi QuadRoller -

We are all set for a trip to Sandlake in 2 weeks, so far there is a group of about 14+ going. You and Sean should drive down and camp over night or come just for the day and join us. It should be fun and hopefully great weather.
What weekend are you going?
Larry and I will be there about 10:00 am Friday morning the 17th and leave for home Sunday the 19th.
It's the week-end after next.

First of all I need sand tires..... 2004 scrammy any suggestions???
Ask 2mnyToyz what size you should put on there.
I have 22x11x10 8 paddle hauler extremes on my scrammy... climbed banshee hill... though if I paddled up my motorhome, it'd climb banshee hill too.

I bought 22x11x? sand-stars for my wife's scrammy... she hasn't complained yet... I don't remember what size wheel I got for her, I do seem to recall that I might have had to get a different wheel size to accommodate the tires avaiable from sand-star.

I'd recommend purchasing your tires mounted on red-lable wheels (douglas) on line. ITP makes a .19 thick wheel as well, either one will do. Just don't go thinner than that or you'll flatten them, it's a heavy machine.

Do you take 203 from Monroe to Fall City? I take that route occasionally, if I think 405 is going to be nasty.

I think that is the one. There is another one straight across form it that is longer and windy but not as steep and mostly just dirt, then you come down to the left around the top.I'm pretty sure my rear is stock and I like the 11 since I put on the 22 mud lites. I can still spin them easily and have the bottom end I need for climbing.
I know which hill climb you're referring to, that's not the one, the one I'm talking about is straight up, very loose dirt with a few rocks and stumps and dumps out on the logging road at the top, gets pretty steep and deep rutted at the top, that's where most people lose it, about 15ft from the top.

The reason I was asking about your gearing is your signature shows 13/46, but you must be running 11/40, which is equal to 13/45.5, that's pretty low but with the 22's probably brings it down to 13/44 in real time measurments.

Larry
Ah yes that one, it comes out on top of the logging road and you can see the lake and the nice little house they are building on the rock over looking everything to the Right. It has a steel tank off to the right near the top. Yeah we did that one, Joel and Jolene took us over there. Nice little run but I didn’t have any problems thanks to the Mudlites and DGs in front.
He did make it but, it was alort easier then other trips. The dirt was damp so there was traction. I didn't even have to close my eyes climbing it this time.

Oh sure make excuses for me since I'm a rookie (only been riding about 3 months after taking about 12yrs off) and making it look like a rookie hill.

I guess the test will be when I try to run Bill's Hill. I" not really a dare devil but I will follow someone almost anywhere. I just dont like leading.
