Easton this weekend.

Thanks to all the regulars that go there for showing us a good time. It was nice meeting Dan, Joel, Jolene, Troy and the rest of the gang. It was great getting to ride some new hills. You guys will have to show us Bill's Hill next time though
When I get a new quad, I'll show you the hill myself!!, seems no one trusts me to loan me theirs for the tour!
Don't be like that, you could have ridden mine up or down that hill. Now you have to next time.
OOPS! Now I guess I have to eat my words!!!!

Bills Hill, also known as JRL has 3 nasty switchbacks, it's a good distance up, you probably won't have any problem making it all the way up, just watch out for the last switchback, that's the one I flipped my rappy on, OUCH, that's also the switchback Bill crashed twice going downhill.

By the way, JRL = Joel, Rod, Larry, the only 3 riders to make up the hill, even though I had alittle assistance hehehe

Larry

Once again, thanks everyone for a great time in Easton.
Julie, Rex and I had a blast and we had the whole campground to ourselves monday night for a change.
Now I get to unpack the MESS!!!

FYI: One of the Vigilanties (guys that were picking up the garbage) almost lost his whole family trying to get home after the long weekend.
His suburban/travel trailer was sideswiped by a motorhome that didnt stop. The gaurdrails kept him on the highway in a hairy section of I-90 (just over the pass as you begin the descent.) Im glad we all had a safe weekend.
Our prayers will be with them...Julie I know you see them guys please tell the we are thinking about them...

Also...the Corvette that was going 140+ mph up North in Mt Vernon area and crossed the median into oncoming traffic...the driver of the Corvette and his wife were killed and they nearly killed my Regional Manager (Kevin) and his family...last report is that he in is Harborview and his Wife and 2 daughters are released with minor injuries... Kiro's report of the accident ...

Keep safe, road conditions and weather, and drivers are not getting any better....

Wow! that really sucks and makes to a lousy end of a vacation. I was doing great on the way home (80+) up the pass until my tube to my waste gate (turbos) blew off but it was a minor repair and took all of 5 minutes.

So, any comments on my funny looking tow vehicle? No one really came down to check it out but I'm sure most everyone noticed it. You can see a picture of it on my page, it's the 2nd picture next to the dyno chart. I should have a picture up soon of it towing the toys. Now I need a trailer that can fit the quads and jet skis all at the same time.

Wow,
I'm glad to hear that all the folks that some of you knew on the suck end of some nasty (or almost nasty) accidents lived through it.

Really no different than any other weekend, but that's why I hate driving on these holiday weekends. Not any different crappy drivers, just more of 'em.
It would amaze me that those folks in that Corvette were going so fast, but I see that often enough that its' nothing new. I just don't understand peoples though process sometimes. But you see 'em bombing down the freeway anywhere from 75/80 to sometimes over 100 mph. Sometimes I just wish I could catch 'em and show them the tragic pictures I have of what happens we you speed like that. I have plenty of pictures to prove it. Oh well, enough rambling. Sorry.

Hey everbody, thanks alot for the info on Easton, I just got home from work and was pleased to see the response.

I used to ride in Cle Elum alot when i was young (I'm 30 now!) and it has always been one of my favorite riding memories. I wish all that never closed down, anybody remember the coal hills #5 & #9? and all the hills above.

Maybe Easton will access some of that old terrian, who knows. thanks again group
