Well I do

Without this bunch to ride with whenever I get a chance, I would just sell my quad and give it all up.
Wow, what else can I say... I'm bringing tears to my eyes...

I look forward to the next ride I can go on with you..
I couldn't let this get lost back in the shuffle

Without him, I would have never bought my first quad and started riding, thus meeting you all.
I enjoy riding with him so much, we just have a great time. I couldn't have it any better.

Again, thanks to him. You are my best Bro

OneHorseFlyBoy... you were right baby!!! the weather looks good! I can't wait. I'm headed down Thursday after work... probably stay the night somewhere between here and there... show up at Horsefall Friday morning.

I had to blow off riding this weekend because the project I'm working is a little off track... I think I gott'er sorted out... Monday/Tuesday will be busy...

Gettin' ready tomorrow... so that I don't have to dink with it after work this week.

Hey everybody, just got back from Juniper Dunes, Val and I were planning on camping, then decided to get a motel, then decided to drive back home it's now been 22 hrs up, oohhhh, getting too old to be doing this.

Was a great day of riding, 10 hrs of driving, 8 hrs of riding and visiting, got stuck in the sand, missed the hard pack road by three feet, Bigdaddy and TP came to our rescue, the Dodge Hemi pulled me out with no problem. We all switched quads for a period of time, I rode 450R, YFZ450 and Predator, everybody rode everybody elses quad, that was a blast.

I'm beat and tired, never seen such long whooped out trails, but we had a blast, weather was great, sunny, alittle windy today, rained the night before so the sand was pretty hardpacked.

In attendance, TractorPacker, Racergirl, BigDaddy, Thumpie, HappaRap and Hollywood

We're thinking about heading to Horn Rapids Nov 7th for the Harescramble.

What can you tell me about it?

Fun or not? Tips?
it's a good event, the start and class structure needs to be revised, IMO. classes are 250, 4-stroke/3-wheeler, open, and 'ironman' all but ironman class runs 2 laps, ironman runs 3... (not what I consider an 'ironman' race, but that's another rant) 10-11 mile laps like raptorchick said. the start is a mass, dead engine start... lemans style (running from behing the quads) then they run you down the drag strip, about 300 yds, through some tall uprights that are covered in bright marking tape then into the course. the dust is REALLY bad if they didn't water or get enough rain & visibility in the start is almost zero.

for setup- i'd say run either 20's or 22's in the rear, the sand gets really rutted in the corners of some sections and you will drag the skid plate... and just a little taller gearing than normal... it does get really whooped out in sections, but it also has high speed sections that you can go 6th gear pinned, if you can hang on. unless it's raining, only put on one tear-off on your goggles(if that). also, wear a hydration pack.

they run quads first (race starts @ 9:00 AM??)... so be early, get to signup early & make sure that you're signed up in a quad class (the entry forms have not been the best) then take your quad to the riders meeting

i went to both spring & fall events in 2002, and was at the spring one this year... right now, i'm not sure if i'll make it to this one.
overall i really like the terrain at this track & this race is very fun, the EWDRA sets up a good course. not many races can you go WFO like this one...
