Thanks Dan I look at the 30+ class as less chance of someone stacking me plus I just might become an even better rider following, learning, and racing with some of the older and better riders. If I switch though then I just will make sure that I am at least 9 of the races now for series points.

I was down on the track taking pics during the main competition, right under the ramps they were launching off. I got some really awesome shots that will come out with the article on the 1st.

What the freestyle guys were doing is no doubt impressive. It takes a big set of brass ones to do that stuff, but what I was really impressed by was watching the pro MX guys. Seeing John Natalie, Kory Ellis, and Keith Little go at it was incredible. Those guys were full on all the time. They had 10 quads on the starting line for the final heat...all YFZ450's. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] Watching them go for the holeshot and into the first turn was great. Of course the first turn was really narrow and tight, I was sure someone would wipe out, but luckily there were no mishaps. The track had this one double that had a 90 ft. gap in between. There was no way anyone could roll the jump, it was a do or die kind of thing, and those guys took it like it was nothing. I've got a photo of that jump with 3 guys in the air all at once, it's totally sick!


Hey Cheech....I will be at Woodland on the 7th. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to race, or hang out and take pics. So how did you like your first mx race? I don't blame you for wanting to switch classes. I would rather race expert and get lapped 10 times by Bocook than get taken out by some idiot that doesn't know how to hold his line. Anyway, I'll see ya there.

 

I spoke to a lady that is in charge of the new indoor arena. They will not be regurly-allowing quads for practice due to tight track set up and poor quad turn out. So she has set a date that the track will be designed for quads. This will be a "quad-only" practice at the indoor arena. From 3:00pm to 9:00pm 12/17. Then at the Clark County fairgrounds they will be having a Winter MX challenge race 12/18 for quads. If that is not enough practice and race time Woodland MX series is on 12/19 it is all with in 20 miles of each other.
