BEAR,

If you got pulled over by a Cop in a SUV before 11:00, it was probably my brother.
I think at 11:00 he was switching over to a Intrepid.

Did you really get pulled over???????
If so, what did he look like, or do you remember the name???
I didn't get his name and it was at about 11:45. Didn't get a very good look at him but he looked young to me, like in his late twenties early thirties. I really did get stopped, I was cookin' along at 55 in a 45 so as to be home before the drunks hit the street. The guy stopped me at Hwy 101 and Hwy 106 in front of Hood Canal School.

The res cops can write it but you don't have to py it if you ain't a res resident. All the locals know this and that's why they don't write the locals anymore.
Well, if he was a white guy with a Cowboy Hat(hehe, just kidding), looked young to you,
then that had to be him.
I"ll have to call and wake him up to ask.
He doesn't give many tickets anyway, to much paperwork
Well it was one I didn't know and I know several of them. But seeing as how I was sober and was about 5 miles from the house........

First off 55 not 57 and my lawyer disagrees with you (on a side note his win record is way higher than all the procecuter combined. Maybe it's cause his wife is a judge.). Also the res cops are federal and the prosecutor ain't got dick to say about it, oh yeah he is a dick.

I thought you were going to Tahuya today with the boys and girls???????
I was but my life interferred and I finally got over there just after noon and couldn't find anyone after an hour of looking and came home. Sometimes old sucks, but I don't want to be young again either. Sounds like a no win situation to me.
Being confused is not my fault, you were that way when I met you. Oh wait, you are a fireboy, you know the kind who run "into" burning buildings not out.

Well I also had a local politician in the car and she had to work real hard at not saying something. She must have been tired as it was the end of the year.
Besides didn't they tell you rule #1, don't stop the bearded guy going fast in the little red car?

BEAR... What alot of locals don't realize is that we are a Federally Recognized Tribe .... to make a long story short.. us as Law Enforcement officers and the Tribal Court can cite Civil Citations to non-natives through our Court System.... also If we are involved in a situation ie: drugs, DUI, obstruction of a law enforcement officer ( us tribal cops) ect. with a non-native, we can call Mason County Sheriff or the WSP and they will handle the case for us on a state level. If we were to have a major crime ie: murder ect ,on our Reservation we can opt to use the US Federal Court system ourselves or turn the case over to Mason County.

But I am just out there to have fun and I HATE paperwork.

Well I know several people who have had tickets from the Res cops and they got the same advise I did. My lawyer said "Don't worry about it. They can't do anything to you." Admittedly the Res cops have never citied me for anything and all have been very pleasant about it ( hell of the first buch of officers they had down there I knew them all). And yes, in the the little red car with the big engine I tend to move a little fast. But I know almost all the cops in Mason county as my wife works with them or we go play with them. So I usually hear "Oh it's you." and then the conversation turns to other things. It's you new guys that stop me most of the time now. I am aware that you guys are feds and I also know why there are Res Cops now (use to be the Sheriff office covered the Res.) when for the first 40 some years of my life the wasn't a Res. police force. I also know there is a conflict with the state law about Res. cops citing non-indians on the res (exspesially on state highways). Admittedly it's been at least a years since I spoke with my legal beagle and things can change. But Mason county's procecutors office is low on reputation and play favorites way to often for anybody who's even half way honest. By the way does Chris Norton still work there part time? I haven't seen him since shortly after is house burn down.
