Matter of fact i would like to buy one I was gonna skip work and come raid your house since i aint got too much to do today. but their findin stuff real quick for me., BASTARDS
Question,
This concrete I got for the posts says mix in a wheelbarrow, is there a reason I shouldn't just pour some in the hole, add some water, pour some more, add more water, of course with the post in the hole. Would you mix each bag in the wheelbarrow? By the way, this concrete isn't the quikrite, quick setting stuff, this concrete sets up in 12 hours.

Larry you can put any of the bag stuff in the hole and just water it. yournot pourin a foundation. you just goin for a compact substance around the post. put water on it and poke it with a rod. to kinda mix it in the hole and its within fencepost. allotta people dont even poke it with a rod.

Yeah, that's what I was planning on doing alittle mix, alittle water, continue the process till the hole's filled, got alittle gravel to put in the bottom of the hole also. Thanks for the input
Ive only done a few hundered posts with my put it in the hole add water more mix. another good way is to fill the hol half up with water first and then add the crete and mix as you fill it. till its kinda thick . and on to the next hole. that would be the prefereed procedure.

the best way is to dry sack the holes,,,,,and it happens to be the easiest
pack dry concrete till the post is rigid,,,pout a pint of water on the earth around the hole,,,let mother nature do the rest

I wouldn't suggest it, but then I used Quickrete. When I did it, it just didn't set properly and hold the posts. It became a big blob of easily broken concrete around the top part of the post that was underground which didn't do much to stabilize and set it. If you are going to do the work, it sucks to have to redo it later. Just my experience...

thanks for the past offers, but if I do them myself, Val feels more sorry for the old man breaking his back out there by himself building her a new fence and I don't get as much grief when I want to ride as much as I do,
