Yeah, that's what I was planning on doing alittle mix, alittle water, continue the process till the hole's filled, got alittle gravel to put in the bottom of the hole also. Thanks for the input
went thru this a while back

the best way is to dry sack the holes,,,,,and it happens to be the easiest

pack dry concrete till the post is rigid,,,pout a pint of water on the earth around the hole,,,let mother nature do the rest
assuming your holes arent more than about 10"-12" wide

OK, so I have my mind set on a Z400 (for my wife )

But now I might have to end up going with a 400ex.
Not that I have anything against them of course, I just like the new Z better.
This one will actually be mostly for her, she will be riding it on the trails and stuff.

I know there aren't many (actually probably any) that have the Z400 out here.
But, I'd like to hear your thoughts on either one, or one compared to the other.

Keeping in mind that I won't do a bunch of mods to it. probably just the usual pipe, jetting, air filter stuff.
Wanna ride the hell out of it at the dunes, and also use it for trails.

Let 'er rip.................................

I cant help ya there sean. I rode em both and to me the honda feels like a top end bike and the z feels like a more low end bike. so where she is in the trails the Z is prolly better and the sand the honda better? But then agin i dont know nothin I ride YAMAHA

Sean, the 400ex didn't have reverse until 2005. So if that's a factor in trail use take that into account. Then 400ex handles great, Cindy likes to ride it in the sand and her 250ex (semi auto) on the trails. The EX is aircooled, doesn't produce as much HP as the Z400. But the 400ex is BULLET PROOF. Change the oil and filter, add gas and go and go and go! It will take her and you anywhere in the dunes you want to go and up any hill you wish to try.
It is also a great wheelie machine. I have never ridden a Z and I am a Honda guy, so I guess I may be a little biased. I just prefer red.

A Z400 is a very good pick. I love my Z, if you have any questions about it, let me know.

Nice to hear from you stranger, overtime good, no play bad, you would have liked the ride at Tahuya, 3 1/2 hours on three different trails with four riders, it was sweet
