I would say AAA for trailers and RVs is a REALLY good investment to prevent something like that from happening. Even insurance wouldn't really ever cover the entire loss and time it took to put his setup together.

The problem with beach riding is that under state law beaches are part of the state highway system and are classified as roads. Thus, one must be street legal. HB 1003 would fix this problem if the county in which the beach is located decides to allow riding. On that note, HB 1003 is out of Senate committee and ready to go to the Senate Floor for passage in the next week or so. Unfortunately, the Senate Committee amended the bill, abeit only a little. This means the bill must go back to the House for concurrence after it is passed by the Senate. The problem is that every step added to the process increases the likelihood the bill will not make it through. But, by all accounts it still looks positive for the bill to make it all the way through this year.

Well, I think its safe to say he's flustered. I've never seen such generous use of the word.

Better go take a shower or something, hehehehehehe
Jedi,
I have a trailer. Might be a little more than you are looking for, but.......
Only a couple years old.
It's a 7x12 flatbed, with tilt, utility trailer. With pickup truck box on the front.
Made nice sides for it. Great for hauling stuff, dump, etc.
You can fit 3 quads on it, more if you have smaller quads maybe.
PM me if you are interested.
Hopefully we'll see ya out on the trail sometime soon.
Lots of fun riding down in BEAR's area.
Oh ya, also..............
Looking for a 150 - 250 cc quads???????????????
YOu want new, or used????????
Who will be riding it (how old, how big, etc.)???
What kind of riding do they/you want to do with it????
You'll get lots of input from all the good folks out here for sure

Thx Quad4fun.
For the ATV, the primary rider is going to be my wife and the secondary rider will be my 10 yr old son. Both have never driven a day in their lives, so the main focus is for them to gain some experience without getting hurt. Speed is not necessary (or desired), ease of use is vital. Needs electric start, reverse, automatic, etc. Trail riding will be the primary usage. I'm seriously thinking about grabbing one of those Yamotos. For one, the price is right... for 2, they have the features I'm looking for.
I'm still open to other options at this point. Want to buy within the next 2 weeks (trailer and quad).

Jedimike,
For a starter quad for your wife and 10 yo son I would look for a Honda 250ex or Suzuki Z250. Both have semi auto transmisions (you must shift but no clutch) with reverse and electric start. My wife has been riding for 3 years, she started on the 250ex and still rides it. It is a great little trail quad. She does however like the power of the 400ex for the dunes.
Just my $.02 worth.

Thx for the invite bear... don't be suprised when I take you up on the offer. I'm itching to go out and have some leave built up at work. Taking a day off sounds very inviting.
I didn't know about Ocean Shores... I thought I saw quads for rent last time I went, but it has been a couple years. I know you can ride anything street legal on the beach, but I also thought ORV's were OK. Did a quick search on HB1003. That should definitely open things up for us.

It would be a good thing to pass, among other things. Washington State loses a lot of revenue via the recreational dollars we spend by traveling to Oregon to ride the coast. Never understood why Washington doesn't pay attention to that. Oregon invests money to develop nice ORV parks I am willing to drive to use. I might not be able to afford to do it as often as I like, but since my state has failed to provide anything to attract me to stay here, Oregon gets my money whenever I get the chance. And it's not just the parks that get the revenue, it would also be the tourist dollars, etc. spent in the area too. It would be nice to have the option to have something closer to home. I would certainly say there are enough people in this state that enjoy our sport that would probably go more often if SOW would get a clue.
Until then, keep up the good fight! The more we educate people to the benefits of our sport, the better off we are.
