Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Sean, as you know i USUALLY love my 300 LOL it's a great machine for the woods, dunes I'd pipe it, jet it that'll help alot!! The reason I haven't stepped up to the 400(besides $$ LOL) is due to the fact I LOVE the ergonomics of the 300 I am wayyyy more comfy on it, maybe cuz I'm smalller but when I'm on the 400 I don't feel in control I sit wierd on it? Don't know what else I can tell you really she should go sit on both & see what she thinks, I figure it's better to be comfortable on your ride, you can mod it later It's very user friendly too!! Hope this helps, they've been around a LONG time & always get good reviews(even if they say they aren't a race quad )

Thanks a bunch KYM,

That is what I'm looking for. I agree about feeling comy on your machine.
I think the 300 would fit her better also, and would be easier on the trails.

As you said, I'll bet piping and jetting it would make it fine for her at the dunes.

I know Rods wife Cindy rides the 250ex around on the trails and does great.
I haven't asked him/her how it does at the dunes.

Anybody know a Honda dealer/sales guy that would be fair?
I won't go to RMC, but would maybe try Hinshaws.
Will travel for a good dealer though. I'm all about customer service.

To bad the one that is just 3 miles from my house doesn't seem worth a crud, even though I've bought 3 machines from them. I may give them one more try, but not to sure.

BTW, I haven't noticed much if any in my research/looking, but...........
Any difference in the 300ex '04 - '05 - '06 models years that anybody knows about?
I'll go ask the sales guys, but just I'd ask the real professionals on here.
Might try to find a leftover '04 or '05 if not.

I'm out the door, gonna stop the dealer down the road to "just look" and check their price.

Sean,
Cindy rides her 250ex at the dunes and it does fine, not great, but fine. She has ridden Nate's 400ex at the dunes (the last time we were down at Florence, I didn't have the 250 jetted correctly) and doesn't really like the feel of it. She says it feels too big for her. She has sat on a 300ex and likes the way it feels. It is narrower through the tank/seat area and it feels closer to size of the 250, which it is.
I have piped and added a Uniflo filter to Cindy's 250 but I haven't been able to get it jetted quite right. I'm taking it to the shop in just a couple hours to have it put on an exhaust gas analyzer and get it jetted correctly. Even with it jetted a little too lean like it is now it adds a lot of power to it.
Eventually we want to get a 300ex for her and keep the 250 for the trails since she wouldn't have to worry about a clutch while trail riding.

Sean,
I've always dealt with Everett Powersports and I feel they are fair. However, I don't think the salesman I have always dealt with works there anymore. I haven't seen him there the last 3 times I've been in there.
I also think there's a guy that checks into this thread once in awhile that works in a barn that may sell Hondas!

OK, Jenna just got back from the specialist and guess what, she also broke her wrist. That makes 2, yes count them, 2 different broken bones. The break in her elbow thay can't do anything for. Her newbreak, wrist, was in perfect alignment so they they casted that. She has to go back every week to make sure it doesn't shift, or they will have to operate.

And yes, her cast is BLACK.

No riding for 2 to 4 months, now that sucks.

Now time for my rant.

When we where there Saturday Night, we told the doc that it was hurting, but not to bad. On Sunday, I took her back to the ER and wanted her wrist X Rayed, it was really starting to hurt more. The doc told us it was just sprained and that he had already x rayed it and it was fine. He said that if I wanted to "waste" some more money, he would look at it again. I told him that if he had already x rayed it and it was fine, then that was ok with me.

So now that the specialist x rayed it and found a complete break, I am PISSED. The doc in Auburn NEVER x rayed it. I picked up all the x rays and there is not any of her wrist. The A$$HOLE lied to me.
We will see, but that is the last time I ever go to that damn hospital

Blue Lake Creek Campground and the mountainous ATV trail riding there ...
I have a group of friends camping there in July. I was considering going, but your post makes me want to reconsider. I'm all for tough riding, but I like to control my risks and it seems this area is pretty risky.

Stan; My wife traversed all the trails and didn't have any major problems that we couldn't solve. Just that a winch is a wise accessory and a good riding partner. Maybe a little scary for her sometimes, but then it was scary for me sometimes too. But it was major beautiful and well worth the trip. Besides you are smart enough and have the experience to handle the place. We are most assuredly going back.

I know a gal at my work who is married to a guy who owns some land and a building and his brother owns the contents inside the building, just 3 miles from you

Does anyone know where I can get a reed cage gasket for a Yamaha Blaster? Huh, anyone? Preferably somewhere up north of Seattle or Lynnwood.
Anyone know where someone might know where I can find one of those?
