Hey everyone,
In case some of you dont know. Dont go to Rock Candy if you are planning to go west up the roads or the powerlines. Powerline trail has a gate, which is now broken, and no trespassing posted. There is also major forest road construction on that road that follows the lines to the west. Also There is a new home owner across the street from the house just past the trailhead, probably the reason why the trail has now been closed.
Just lettin yall know

How much is your time worth?
With the amount of time it's taken you to build your fence, you're better off buying a premade one from Home Depot.

I can always count on you to give me much needed crap, actually, I want the yard tools, lawnmower, powerwasher and that other crap in the shed. How much does it cost to build one from scratch as opposed to buying a premade from Home Depot, the kind they drop at your curbside and you put up yourself?
Originally posted by: Red400EXRod I have an 8X12 storage shed I built at my house. It's full of my crap! You'd get your garage back if you got your fence out of there! Finish the fence and get your garage back!

The fence is coming along very nicely and I have no complaints. I believe in taking your time if you want something done right anyway so this should be REAL nice when it's finished. Now if Happa built things for a living instead of driving, then I might rethink my opinion on his timing
By the way, where do I mail that little clamp??

Bear,
The road is closed due to major construction probably either by the state or the timber companies. I got as far as a new bridge being built on one of the first corners. I dont want to tangle with the law so I turned around.
The New owner has seemed to have bought some property on the powerline side of the road. It seems his property lines go under the powerlines probably to the other side of the clearing. The problem for riders is their beloved powerline trail now has a dead end. It looked like someone did a number on his gate. I'll see if I can find out some info on his property lines. I'll try to see if he is lawfully putting up a gate. He probably is, but you never know, he might be getting tired of the bike noise.

It is very possible that his blocking the road is illegal as if there is established public access then you can't just block it if you want to. Beside the state maybe relying on that road for fire access. You ought to bitch to the state about the road being blocked and see what happens. We had a guy do that here and the fire dept. made him open it back up.

Ok, now I understand the construction on the road, it's just road improvements, kinda like when they were putting the gas line in a couple years ago, you couldn't access half the riding area up there. I know exactly where this gate is, he was putting up new fencing up a year ago, I saw where the new gate was going. I think the powerline trail is toast, besides the fact that it was washed out long ago, about 30 or 40 feet deep and across, no way across it, even Bing didn't attempt it.

Yeah but everyone knows Bing is a wuss. He doesn't think an 800 Dualsport is a little bike.

Im looking for a tame (no medical bill) dual-sport. That 800S is a sweet and rare find,,,,,but it would put me in the hospital for sure,,,,possibly multiple times.
400 is as big as this dude will go,,,and maybe smaller.
Happa,,,you aught to stuff that 800 in your Rappy????
As far as that ride at Rock Candy,,,I remember the hole they dug and the washout that followed. If someone builds a barrier,,,i usually try and respect it,,,as there is a reason for it. As far as me trying something other than a mellow ride,,,those days are over...
Thats the roadblock that almost cut our riding day short!!!
I spent the day putting the boat back together with all the upgrades. New VHF, fish finder, lifters, livewell swingback seat, all new 12V,,,,,,Im just a little excited!!!!!
As far as that shed goes Larry,,,,,I wouldnt normally recommend a kit shed,,,,but maybe in this case i will agree with Rod. Either that or go to a jobsite that is getting framed and confront the dude who seems like he has a clue,,,,,and ask him if he will frame on an existing slab for you. Framers are fast and cheap. You build the slab,,and all the little stuff,,,,he just frames. Cheap and easy on the back,,,,and it won't fall apart in 5 years.
