Get yourself a good used Raptor, with the new 700R's out now, they'll be some great deals out there, Honda 400, Suzuki 400 are also good starters that'll be in your price range. I think the 450's will be bring alittle higher price than you want to pay.

Well, I think Skagit Powersports has it over on the rest, I stopped in there this afternoon and they have two 700's, both colors. All I can say is sweet, I switched back and forth between the 660, 450 and 700, sitting on them and the 700 feels much better than the 660. After looking very closely at the 700, I must say everything on it's different, I think the seat latch might be a problem, just a plastic tab moulded into the bottom of the seat. I was very happy with all the changes they made and the blue color with silver frame and blue a-arms is just sick, the white and silver does nothing for me. I think they did this quad right, but of course time will tell.

The 250 is for a 5'8" guy. Over 6' and you will be cramped. I would suggest a 400ex, or save your pennies and find a Z type 400.

RiverDolphin,
Yes, I think a 250 would be a bit small for ya, in no time at all you'd want bigger.
As others have said, the Z400 or the 400ex would be good for you.
I'm sure some guys will be dumping their Raptors in favor of the new one,
might find one of those halfway decent pretty soon..
Really, just about any quad you get 400 or bigger will work for ya and I'm sure you'd like any of them.
