Good mornin PSAR,
anyone know what to do if you have a new machine and your heading to Sand Lake and you haven't got your tabs and ORV stickers yet?
Do you just carry your reciept and DOL certificate of ownership application with you? I know that's what I'd do here in WA but what about Or. will that fly or will I get a ticket?
Randy, I don't think we will make it to Sand Lake this weekend. One of the guys on SLD posted last night that the campcround is already full with the Bronco driver for their thing this weekend. I quess we will just go to Moses, again.

Good mornin' PSARAnother long day ahead.Jayna, it's a Rekluse Z-Start Auto clutch. I'm thinking of one for my 450RRandy, take you paper work with you and you should be fine.
Kewl, Thanks Rod. Do you(or anyone) know if they are very difficult to install? I have done all the stuff on my quad so far, but never cracked it open. Come to think of it, I should probably figure out how to check the valves. Haven't since the first service at the dealer. Kind of afraid of breaking it before Florence.

Someone mentioned to me that you really like the autoclutch you put in your Kawi, and I saw a post a page or so ago from you mentioning an autoclutch. What's the one you were talking about or have. Was it hard to install? Is it pretty durable? Does it do well on climbing dunes and treeshots? Thinking I might like that option. Thanks.
Its the Rekluse auto clutch. I got it from Rocky Mtn but U can go to Rekluse.com and call them up and order directly from them, great people to work with. I like the auto and so will my wife when she ends up getting her 400. It can be used just like a normal clutch or give it gas and pull up on the shifter. It actually likes to have some higher RPM's going to shift smoothly, doesn't like short shifting. Install is kinda of a pain, instructions will help U right through it but U have some tolerances U have to maintain for plate gaps and U have to set it then ride for 20 mins, drain all fluids again and open up motor again and check gaps, then ride for 4 hrs then drain fluids again and check gaps. The Z doesn't have a aftermarket ez change clutch cover that U can get Ur gap tester into so having to take off the cover everytime is the pain. But after U have it broke in it is set and good to go.

I WOULD ask Bobby what he charged but I can't get a straight answer out of ANYONE so whatever I'll go get my OWN deals like I've always done for the boys!!!!!!! We wants # plates w/ the boys' name/numer on them

It's tough to toss out numbers when he takes care of me, once again, I'm in his pocket too! I've sent that man lots of work. You will pay more with Tom than Rocky Mountain ATV, but reprints are gonna be cheaper.
Remember, good work is not cheap, cheap work is not good. The more you spend with him, "the cost" will go down.

So looks like I will hold off for trick or treating and see if I can swing the z450. I do like the idea of the building out my z400 to a 465 though. I would like both. I guess I will have to start saving my pennies. Alot. Thanks for the advice everyone.
WOW! SUZUKI HAS A 450 COMING OUT IN OCTOBER? HOW DID YOU FIND THAT OUT?

You must have some inside information. Who told you?

I do what I can do!

Sean buddy, What about you???

Sorry, I took an impromptu vacation yesterday and was away from my computer. I had babysitting duty with the kids so my wife could go to the chiropractor. Although, according to her, it's not "babysitting" when they are your own kids??? Anyway. How about Friday. I could use another day off this week.

Funny story. My mom's Rotary Club bought a bus for a special needs school in La Barca, Mexico. It's an old transit bus (short kind) with a wheelchair lift. They loaded it up with wheelchairs, canes, and other items for the kids at the school. The bus was worked over, repainted to the school colors, etc. Yesterday, she and a friend started the trip to drive the bus to Laredo, Texas, where they willl meet some Rotarians from La Barca and cross the border for the final leg of the trip. It's all very exciting!

So they start out about 10 a.m. yesterday with great hopes, feeling happy and looking forward to a week in a transit bus. They get to central Oregon and the bus dies on the highway!!! The speedometer stops working, lights start flashing and they are dead on the road. Fortunately, there was a public utilities building at the bottom of the exit ramp and she went there and begged for some help. To cut the story short -- THEY RAN OUT OF FUEL. Turns out they didn't top off the tank with diesel before hitting the road and never checked it while driving -- OOPS!!

I haven't heard any news today, but I expect this to be the first of many such stories during the trip.
