Old PSAR thread - please see the new one
Well last night was a hoot! There was five heats of open quads and 3 heats of pros. I ran 3 in my heat, transfered out of the Last Chance Qualifier, then ended up 7th in the main out of 10.
Some heavy hitters made the trek from down south and schooled the proclass and open classes. I ran a bunch of laps, burned over 2 gallons of fuel last night alone. I'm just tired enough that I sat today out!
Good afternoon PSAR!

This is a long story:
There were 100 miles on the truck when we bought it, Scarff Ford had taken it for wheels, tires and front lift kit, window tinting, aftermarket sunroof, put bling front grill, window rain deflectors and bug shield, that's where some of the 100 miles went to and of course people test driving it. We put 125 pampered miles on it in 7 days, I was on vacation at that time, then I took it to work and it was stolen my second day back. The scumbags put 275 miles on it in 30 hrs.
There's a laundry list of items that need replacing, our insurance agent told us, anything that is scratched, stained, dented or gouged needs to be replaced, (not just repaired but replaced, because the truck was brand new). This is my list after close inspection. Steering column, complete dashboard, all the seats, carpet, center console, front and rear bumpers, hitch, bed, two doors, gas tank, exhaust system, front grill, tow hooks, spare tire and of course $3500 in tires and wheels.
Pictures don't do the damage justice, the entire inside and outside was sprayed with WD-40, the seats are deeply stained and scratched up. They took it 4 wheeling somwhere, there's all kinds of brush and leaves stuck in the under carriage as well as the inside cab area. They ran over something solid like concrete, gouged the left connecting arm that goes from the frame to the front axle, plus gouged the bottom of the gas tank. Even the bottom of the hitch is deeply gouged from front to the back of the hitch, there's also sheetmetal damage under the cab from the steps being torn off and pushed in.
They smoked in it, drank, ate and left all the crap on the floor, there's even melted chocolate on the passenger floorboard and some sort of red liquid on the rear door panel, driver side. Took everything out of it, even our freaking sales papers with our name, address, phone number and all the pertinent sales info on it. We were told all of that needs to stay in the truck until you get your registration in the mail.
The stole it, thrashed it, trashed it and left it running in a parking lot sitting on the ground. Can you imagine what damage could be done from dropping it off the jacks 3' up in the air while they're taking the wheels off? Slam down on the concrete, ouch!!!
I talked to the Tow Driver who brough it in, I arrived at the impound yard 15 minutes after he arrived, he wouldn't put it on a flatbed because it was brand new, he put dollies under the rear rotors, he told me he didn't want to scrap the undercarriage with the flatbed. But there was still damage underneath due to the thieves 4 bying through the Rainier Valley and wherever else they took it.
They put the fox sticker in the back window along with the seat belt cover, with the Ford emblem on it. They stole a F350 crew cab two blocks from my work, drove it to my truck, pulled my truck out of the parking stall and put the other truck in it's place. The owner of the F350 just happened to be driving by on his way to a job site in a company vehicle and saw his truck sitting in our parking lot, he had already reported it stolen from his parking lot where he works. When the police arrived my boss went out to see what was going on, asking what happened to the red truck that was parked there before, thats when I got the call that it was stolen, crap, I had to finish my deliveries, about 5 hrs worth, I was not a happy camper while making these deliveries.
End of story, thanks for the ear, sorry I rambled, needed to get it off my chest, this helps me deal with the whole ordeal.

I have known Steve for approx. 6 1/2 years. That guy is a NUTCUP! Cycle Barn used to sponsor him. He is a great guy, kinda quiet until he is comfy being around you. The Hobeck brothers introduced me to him when he stopped by the race shop to get his chassis and crank welded.
