Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Originally posted by: wingdude Happa, I thought BigD was going over to Beverly as well. And with the comment that SkLLz made, I figured that he was going as well. If I go, I will be happy to carpool over with you. I will probably have a kid or 2 (or maybe a wife), but they all love you, so it is OK. I will let you know tomorrow.
I don't know what happened to Skillz either and BigD will let me know by Saturday, just keep in touch.

I'll probably run paddles, I don't want to have any problem on those little side hills, quess I need to find some time to polish the rims

Plus, I'm sure there was very very few, if any, scratches in it before. They should re-pain the whole thing.
The adjuster assured me the truck would be returned in pristine, showroom condition, he told Val the same thing, today, I'll tell him I want that statement in writing!!!

Jayna,
Not sure yet if Cindy and I (Katie too) will be making it down to Florence. It all depends on Nate's deployment date and when he has his final leave. He doesn't know that for sure yet.
Who knows, we may just surprise everyone by showing up late one night.

Mornin PSAR!

Hap, LMK if your plans change for the Beverly trip. I don't want to drive all the way over there and it be just me a the wife. It's just not as much fun riding by ourselves

As far as the Insurance adjuster's estimate goes those guys miss stuff on there sheets all the time. Then the body shop has to get ahold of the insurance co and get the ok to fix the additional damage and send them a supplement. It's a game the adjusters play. Keeps the initial bottom line on the sheet down. I dealt with it for 20 years in the collision industry. I would highly recommend taking it to the Ford dealer if they have a good body shop. In your cituation you don't have to worry about the adjuster calling for aftermarket or LKQ parts on the estimate being your rig was brand new. I would however discuss diminshed value with the insurance co. and reinforce that you want it returned to pre accident condition or in this case
pre a$$holes that stole it condition. Let them know you will accept nothing less. If I can do anything to help LMK I ran the Body shop at the old Vern Sims Ford Ranch in Sedro Woolley for a few years as well as did Frame,Body & paint etc there for 10 yrs and have had more than a few run ins with know it all adjusters over the years. One things for sure if they think they can pull one over on an un educated consumer they will.

RaptorRandy is right. You'll need to talk with the insurance co. about diminished value. Even with the vehicle being fixed, you're looking at a HUGE depreciation now. You will also want to make sure that they do not "brand" the title - it has been known to happen even when the vehicle is not a total loss.

You do NOT have to accept the adjuster's findings either, especially if he missed a few items on the sheet. Get a copy of his "final" sheet, look for a couple of things that he missed, especially if you have discussed them or they are obvious, then call the insurance company and scream bloody murder and request a supervisor. Follow it up with a letter.

If you feel that they are bending you over, contact the Washington State Insurance Commissioner in writing and be extremely specific about what is wrong. Include copies of photos, the police report, and the crappy sheet that the adjuster wrote up as well as a copy of your letter to the insurance company. CC the insurance company.

Move fast but refuse to sign ANYTHING until you are satisfied.

I spent 10 years as a commercial insurance underwriter. I did not have to deal with personal lines claims very often, but insurance regs are pretty much the same.

Good luck!

Marci

Is everyone heading down on Thursday and do we have a recent roll call? Do we want to try another potluck thingie on Friday or Saturday? Just curious.
If we can make it, it will be Wed, Thur & Friday only. I am working the Seahawk game on Sat & Sun so I need to drive back on Fri evening.
