Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Great ride at Beverly today, nice to see everybody back together

Randy and Julie, great meeting ya'll, thanks for letting me ride your 700R

Bill, congratulations on the Bumblebee

Wish I could have raced, but I had a blast putting around anyway

DoughnutHolez, thanks for the doughnuts, fun riding with you guys

That was some great racing, seems Karl's got the top end for sure

The 700R is a blast to ride in the dunes, huge, huge improvement over the 660R as far as stability

BigDaddy, thanks for the company, it's always a pleasure talking about life in general with you

Can't wait for Florence, a broken-in quad with paddles, all I need now is that secret stuff Randy has

I knew coming over here to read the posts from today would cheer me up

I've been reading, watching video, and looking at pictures on Katrina for a couple hours
No words to describe.....just a big WOW and then silence
It's been horendously sad, and unimaginable to say the least
But it doesn't begin to get better, the worst is still to come
As they start recovering those that lost their life, and start searching house to house and finding people and whole families that lost their lives in their attics, the toll on rescuers will become evident.
Those folks are going to see things, and deceased people in conditions that nobody should ever have to, and on a huge scale. WOW.......

The shining light, is how the citizens, companies, and cities throughout the US have come together. I don't remember the numbers, but I read an article talking about just the money raised so far. They said how astonishing it is how much money in so little time that has beed raised. They said the amount raised here in 9 days far outweighs the amount raised in months for the other large disasters around the world.
That says a lot.

You guys are a hoot

So who was KING of the sand today???? HUH........who was it...don't think I could tell .
Except that it seems BigD is being pretty quiet, didn't see him mention how it went
And where is ol' Happas synopsis of the day?????? Did he make it home

The great thing is it sounds like everybody came home in one piece and not taped or glued together

Hey RANDY,
This group is great, no doubt about that. And you only say about 1/4 of it today.
You think today was fun, you ain't seen nothing yet
Wait until Florence, glad to hear you are coming.
That will be a trip of all trips

It's never to early to start planning

It sounds like the HappaHauler will be out of commission for a while.....
Unless the insurance guys wakes up and smells the coffee and totals the thing...

I know Happa would never ask, he may even be upset with me bringing it up before asking him.
I'll beg for forgiveness, cause if I asked for permission, he woulda probably told me to not even bring it up.
I'll publicly apologize now, SORRY......

Anyway, anybody have any input on how we can get the HappaHotel down to Florence for them????
Pending HappaApproval of course......

I know he can tow the quads down and stay in a Hotel (which he may decide to do), but I know they would have a great time, and we would all love to have them stay at the campground with the group.

If I'm thinking or speaking out of place, I apologize. I just hate to see those guys suffer because of the handy work of a couple thoughtless morons..........

I've got my armor on, so fire away

Ya know, I might have a solution to that problem. Since I am driving my RV and trailer down, my truck will be sitting home all lonely. It's a Ford F250 and all setup to tow just about everything. I don't have a 5th wheel hitch, but I do have a gooseneck, and the weight distribution setup for a bumper pull. Wouldnt be nearly as cushy as some, since it's standard cab, but it will do the job. I am on vacation that whole week so we can arrange when I can get it to you before trip time if you decide to take it. REALLY NOT a problem. Would love to see you guys be able to take your trailer rather than have to hotel it. Just lemme know.

I was really tired last night (All that TRASH TALK wore me out).......
OK Here's my take on the drag racing/Rider Ability........

1st There was NO official drag strip OR a staging-Christmas tree set-up with timing lites. ALL the riders there are TOP NOTCH riders with "above the bar" capabilities........

2mny, RaptorRandy did trade off allot of wins, But ALL the rest of us where right there VERY CLOSE BEHIND with our quads and rider ability......

2mny's quad is a very strong running quad with TOP END hp to match NONE...... RaptorRandys quad is in that same league.........In ALL fairness, to make it OFFICAL we need to go to a DRAG STRIP with all the bells and whistle for drag racing.....OK that's where "RIDER ABILITY" takes place, IMO

If ANY of U are interested in what i mentioned above let me know, I'll check and see where a track close by is and then ALL BRAGGING rights go to the rider/quad that goes the rounds and finishes on top.......

Now to answer Ur question Quad4Fun, WE ALL had a great time and MISSED U and wished U would have shown up and made a statement on Ur RIDER ABILITY

Now to make sure its CLEAR, I brought my ENTRY LEVEL dirt/sand quad to this event and left the next level up quad at home, And to QUOTE a phrase from another "TOP NOTCH" rider in this group "YA U BEAT ME FAIR AND SQUARE, LET ME GO TO MY TRAILER, I'LL BE RIGHT BACK".......

SEE YA AT FLORENCE.....

Sean and Jayna,

You guys are wonderful, I know where ya'll are heading with your posts, I totally appreciate your efforts in trying to get the Hollywood Hotel down there, we'll know Wednesday what's happening, inspection will take place Tuesday at the body shop, I'll then go over the report with the manager, making sure our damage list matches up. If it gets repaired, I doubt it'll be ready in 6 weeks, but I need to get past this inspection first before worrying about Florence, but believe me, Florence is defintely on my mind, we'll be there one way or another

Like I said, my truck will just be sitting while we're gone so it's not a problem. I don't even mind if Bindi rides up front with you. I hope everything goes well with your meeting-give 'em hell.
I am serious about my offer though, if you need it, let me know and it's yours. I have no reservations about lending it to you. Have a great day!
