Those are actually good quads to get. The learning curve on quads is pretty quick. I would suggest that they go with someone with experience, into a big open field, and learn turning, braking, and how a quad responds before heading for the trails, mountains, dunes etc...
And if they want to save a little $$$$, go with a couple 400ex's (a novice will never notice the difference).
Yodad, glad you made it back safely.

I browsed some R.C.W. site some time ago because the WSP didn't give me a reason, and it stated some vague law that didn't allow it... Can't remember the details though.

2mny..
I found this in a search for St Anthony Dunes here in ATV Connection and thought I would post it, found it kind of interesting.
"There are three places to camp, desert oasis, sandhills, and the blm area. I prefer desert oasis as the owners are nicer and it is closer to the bigger dunes. Sandhills is nicer with grass and trees, but the owners are jerks.
The blm area is just a gravel area and there are out houses there."
I don't know what the blm area is, I am thinking maybe "something" land management.
Sure would be nice to have a camp fire
ttfn,..

BLM = Bureau of Land Management.... there's a link on the PSAR site.
We'll have to check out the Oasis too. The person I talked to at Sandhill seemed nice. Sometimes people that are a little rough around the edges come across a little coarse... Sandhill did say we could have fires on the gravel, but not the grass (they like thier grass).
I really don't have a preference because I can get out of the dirt and take showers. Those that have tents may like the grass a little better... in addition to a shower...
The Rexburg chamber of commerce is sending me a packet of information on the campgrounds, dunes and local Yamaha and Polaris dealers.
When I get the information, I'll post something and then we can make decision.
Thanks for the info. Keep it coming.

Dollywood,
Not sure what the fuzzy stuff was on the pie (5 days old hhhmm), but it gave it a twang to the taste. Sure was terrificulicious.. LOL, just kidding. Coulda been something Happ put on it . I think the whole pie thing is funny. Yodadda and I will never give up the game though, anything we can do to get a piece of that, we'll probably do it. I can just see all the things Happ and the gang will try to get us to do on the next ride in order to get our piece pie, it could get ugly . We can never replace a son, but we'll do our best to make him proud. I would really hate to see you get out of practice on making those pies, we need to keep your pie baking ability in peak form, so when he comes home it'll taste the same as the day he left. I know it's a tough job, but me & Yodadda will take one for the team in order to keep the pies a coming.
Yodadda & Bing,
Thanks for the words on the Suzuki. He talked to a guy I know, and bought my LT80 from. My buddy can get 2 of the '04 Suzuki 400's for $11,100 Out The Door. Not sure if that's good or not, but doesn't sound to bad. Way cheaper than he could get 2 2003's OTD at another dealer.
2mny,
I have read through the RCW's and have them somewhere. They clearly state a ATV cannot be made street legal. I believe (but don't quote me) the reason they can't be street legal is probably due in part to the wheelbase, and the safety factor of rolling them over and stuff. Not sure, that may be a WAG.

Hey Guys! Just got back from the grocery store. Good flippin' grief! I think everybody is worried about being trapped for 2 weeks in their houses. Oh well, me and Caldozer took our time, drank a bottle, (her not me), browsed empty shelves, and stood in line.
I remember a loooong time ago, somebody posting that they would like to get stickers for the people on this site for ID. I just picked up our stickers and they look great. I think just about any local sign shop these days can make up some real nice rub-on decals. We used Sign Town in Bremerton. Stuff is just so easy to find and get these days.
Hottiewood, don't worry about my wife, I'll suffer the wrath over your apple pie! Me and Quad4 will be more than glad to wash the car.
