As far as Coos, the first week in August is Dunefest - It might be nice to be down there and day trip to Winchester - after the Gestapo popo action last year, I don't want to spend a bunch of time or money on Dunefest. It just wasn't worth it to be always on the alert even when you weren't doing anything wrong. (We did have way more fun when we left Dunefest early and went to Florence - it was WAY more laid back with respect to johhny law.)
