It’s a historic trail that goes from western Washington to eastern Washington. I think all the snow should be gone buy now. It’s a muddy, rocky, rutted trail. Some sections can be kinda steep. The trail goes through open alpine meadows and deep forests. If you have a 4x4 machine you won’t have any trouble. A sport machine will be more of a challange. Matt
Anybody want to join me on this ride, I wanna give it a try.
That sounds like a fun ride. Can't do it for a little while though.
Sounds like something I would like to do but we have to be at the farm for a couple of weeks starting next Friday. Don't know just how soon I will be able to go rideing again.

I'm a real mugwump on the union issue. Been on both sides of strikes, locked out as union labor and locked in as part of the management team keeping the plant running. Been a union local president, shop steward and on bargaining teams for both union and management. It really depends on the size of the operation and the attitude of the company involved. We have had a couple of unions that wanted to organize people that worked for us, our employees told them to get lost, and even got picketed once. My opinion, work in the situation that is best for you. Advantages both ways, just don't stay in a job you'r not happy in.
I agree with your FAIR statement......
I have seen/heard some better things from them. I am honestly asking this. Would a union help keep your job/position if you got hurt? Would it just be up to that company to let you come back when healed?

I have a great job, that is non union. I go out get hurt on my time. They save my job for me, give me light duty, and then drop a bucket fiddy in my pocket. My first check had a huge raise, and I wouldn't have ever ask(or thought possible) a raise this summer.

All a union contract is is an agreement between two parties about how labor relations or other covered issues are handled. If it is not in the contract then it is as open to discussion or being ignored as any issue in a non-union shop. You are lucky to be working for an individual or company that takes an intrest in their employees. Most places of employment would not have agreed, even with a union, to do what has been done for you. About keeping your job open for you if you are hurt/sick away from the job. Some of this is covered under state and/or federal law, as in the "Family Leave Act" but not many contracts I have seen are very liberal toward the employee in this regard. I would guess you have shown a strong commitment to this company and been a valued employee for some time. What has been done for you is seldom seen in union or non-union shops unless there is a very complex and demanding contract if effect. Some contracts require a company to hold jobs open, others won't. Most contracts allow the company to require a Doctors reliese for full or light duty prior to the employee returning and usually the company is allowed to decide at what level the employee will be allowed to return. When contracts get really complex it becomes very difficult to manage a business and all involved suffer. Too much regulation in business, as in government, is not a good thing. Sorry for the long post but not an easy yes/no issue.

Good morning PSAR.

Happy Father’s Day to all you fathers. You guys are the greatest ever. I have no idea what I’d do without my dad, and I’d wager all your sons and draughts feel the same. Love you all to death.

I saw that you posted the link for the drags, figured you'd be going, just picking at ya. It looks like the trail might not be open yet. AHDRA sounds like the place to be if that's the case with the trail, Hummmmm.

I did some research on the Naches Trail and from what I understand, the trail isn't open to motorized use until July 15th. I'm waiting for a reply from PowerRam100 on this issue.
