www . OPMC . org is a track out in Port Angles the next race out there is on 10/26/03 it is a bit of a drive. But a fun track.

We RaptorChick, Racer-X and I are going to www . Woodlandmx . com next weekend 10/19/03. We have never been to the track so I can't say how good it is. All I have heard is that its in the (banana belt) and the bad weather seems to miss it.

Then on the 10/25/03 we are going to www . Longviewmx . com and agin I have not been to that track either so I can't say how good it is.

Just with Woodland and Longview it is straight down I-5 so the drive should not be so bad.

Hey Guys,
What is the OPMC? I am interested in watching and maybe even participating in some races, are there any races around here and maybe some tracks to practice on? Thanks!
Olympic Peninsula Motorcycle Club or OPMC is a club based in Port Angeles & runs various races, hill climbs & poker runs during the year. right now they are running a fall MX series. check out thier site

are there any races around here? you came to the right place... i asked that same question about 2 years ago i started searching and found some races & started doing it.... now there is an organization forming to help quad riders like you & me find races here in the NW easier... the Pacific Northwest Quad Racers Association (PNWQRA) there are two threads(newsletters) started by raptorchick in the club news forum....
there are several events happening in the next few weeks. i plan to be at all of the fall series races at OPMC to run series points... there's only 3 more rounds, hopefully they'll be dry we've had about 20-25 quads at each of the first 2 rounds, results of round 1 are posted.

once quadfest is rescheduled, it will be an event to see & race

lokiDS650- i had all the skids on & my MX tires too, bad mistake(but i wasn't alone). i'm not so sure about longview the 25th... i have the day off but will likely have to work until 1:30AM friday night... that'd make for one tough weekend... we'll see

Its a hard call for OPMC with or with out the skids I had seen some nice sized rocks. So you take the chance riding without.
I will put them back on for the next races because I am not sure how well the tracks are.

I hear you working late I normaly work till 1:30 am my self. Getting started early is tough. The Woodland race dose not start till 11:45 so no rush to get there. They run the mini's in the am.

I don't mind the mud for recreational riding, it's really fun! But on the track, it's kind of a bad thing when you have so much mud on your goggles that you can't see the jump in front of you.

Hi all...Ive ordered a 14 tooth front sprocket for my Blaster and I cannot seem to get anyone that knows if I have to get a bigger chain or not. Fed Way Yamaha just said maybe so/maybe no, Dennis Kirk just flat out said I dont know...can anyone help me with this and if there are anything else that I have not taken into account???

Thanks in advance.

bigger chain? you shouldnt unless there is no adjustment left.

those tires you have,,,,are real nice for the track(not so much for the trail)

can you not go smaller in the rear by about 3-6 teeth (if not more)(to gain what you lost) (no new chain needed)

raptorchick,,i understand

I kind of wish the rain hadn't affected the quadfest event

we left early that morning (from good wet riding in Easton) to make it to quadfest

we hope to be there on the re-schedule
