I look at that spider kit and my main prolem is look at how bad the tire scrub is on the wheels. the camber just gets all outta wack.you would just melt the insides off the tires .

Is this one of those goofy two piece flywheels?
I don't know what that is. But the preddy's fly wheel is multiple pieces. It incorporates the one-way clutch which the starter gear nests in.
Two piece flywheels have an outer ring, usually steel, and an inner hub. The ring is swaged or shrunk (shrank?) onto the hub. Sometimes this will slip and allow the timing of the engine to change. Clinton, Techumsa (SP?) and a couple of others have used this. Don't know if it is still done or not. Have also seen this happen on gas engines in trucks when the vibration dampener on the front of the crank would slip. Impossible to get the engine to run and it would show being perfectly in time.

Well, another great mid week ride. We rode out of Middle Waddell and ran a couple of mildly difficult trails. I managed to do everything just wrong at one spot and got high centered on a little stump. First time I have used my winch for other than the plow or stretching fence. Even had it off before Bear could whip out his ever ready tow strap. Little dusty in some of the exposed areas but in the timber it was great.

Next ride for the slow patrol will probably be next week. Always looking for more mid week riders. Sure no traffic on the trails, saw a couple of hikers and three mushroom hunters.
i'll probley ride with you guys next week...if im not working hehhe
Bear is going to wimp out next week but I have high hopes that Chuck and I at least will be going. Let us know what your work schedule is as we are somewhat flexible on our days to ride. Comes from being RETIRED.

Well, let me tell you something about blazing speed! Bout scared me silly. Long straight away, seemed pretty level so should have been a fair test. Chasing Bear and Chuck. Pinned the mighty 360 and the surge of power was something to behold. Wind blowing, rocks flying, deer and bear standing with mouths agap. Gps reading got to 39.8 MPH before I shut her down. Now, just try to keep up with that kind of speed.

i reserve the right to change my mind......
I got a 400ex. I've had it for about a year and i'm not bored with it. If you plan on dune riding i would recommend something faster but for trails it's perfect. Although i would rather have a 450r because of the suspension. He can buy mine when (if) my wife lets me get a renegade.
I am not bored with my 400ex. the z400 is just a cooler quad. the z400 is not in my pics because i have been banned from ridding it. the last time i rode it i bent an a-arm and put a flat spot in the frame.she says i have my own quads for that.
LMAO that's some funny chit there Andy WE girls aren't stupid

AS for a 400ex thats what my hubby got when we all got quads 6 yrs ago, he lOVES his 400, never had any issues w/ it theya re bullet proof!! WE only put a 426 piston in it last year, that is pretty good for the riding it had on it, you can always give them more CC's we got him a 450R this past summer & to be honest he likes the 426 better!!! Too bad for him though cuz it's MINE now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've rode the 450 & don't like it either, but I LOVE the Yammi 450 she's got LOTS more grunt you can find 400ex's for good prices now, around $2500-$3500 for a good one w/ lots of extras!!
Good luck w/ your search And don't forget about the 300 I have for YOU!! most forgiving quad you'll ever ride!!
Is the 300 back together or does it come in a box still? j/k.

Hey, Hey, HEY! You didn't gripe about riding MY 450. In fact, I seem to remember you having a chit eating grin on your face, thank you. Now if you are talking about the Honda 450, I will take it back because I don't like them as much as my Zuki 450 either. Elenore is cool too, but still like mine bestest.

tne, go with the Z400 if you are going to get a sport quad. It's a great all around machine, trails and dunes. Reverse is nice to have when you need it. Still love to abuse the crap outta mine even though I also have a new r450. I have put some time and money on mods into it in the last year, but it was a great quad even before I did everything to it. And the mods were(MUCH) cheaper than the new quad when I got the itch for more power. Lots of possibility to build it out if he/you do get bored and want more power. JMHO.

The Z is a nice, stable bike that is easy to ride. It is a very good beginner's quad. You would enjoy riding it as well.
