I'm a computer geek. I have been tinkering with computers for many years, but I have just above mid-level skills and need to know more to support myself if I go independent/self employed.
My job entails maintenance of high capacity data circuits for the phone company, but it's a union job with a large corporation and this day and age, those are sadly insecure. One of the current benefits I have is full paid tuition, so I decided to get in gear last year and went back to work towards my degree and some certifications so I have something to fall back on if/when my job goes away. It almost got sent to California last June, so it's looking like it was a good decision. My schedule changed, so I took a couple online classes this quarter just to keep my momentum going.
For a history 100 class, this guy is outta his mind on his expectations and he doesn't really teach much. I maintained a 4.0 all last year, I think this guy is going to blow that. My overall GPA is above 3.5 so I guess I will just have to bite it and accept a C. Next quarter, I should be back on track with the actual classes I want and enjoy. Onward and upward.
Had a class like that where I was going to blow the 4.0 GPA. Since it was a fluff, fill in I just went for the Pass/Fail option. It was a PE class that I really didn't need and by going the P/F option no matter what happened it would not be figured into my GPA. In your case you may be able to do the P/F to save the 4.0 and take another Hist 100 for grade later. Just a thought.

I thought about that, but the college won't let me do that and because of the tuition payment program I have, I have to provide a grade of C or higher or they suspend me until I pay out of pocket. So I gotta suck it up and get it done. can't pull out an A though. There are worse things in the world.

I am holding DM's laptop hostage since I have little spare time lately. Hey, I probably could have gotten alot done on it tonight instead of exploding my post count. Sorry DM!

Oh, and I was mistaken about the last wind storm. I got home in daylight yesterday and noticed a huge tree I have been worried about actually did come down in my hayburner's pasture. They were unharmed, but they are moving to someone else's house tomorrow until I can get some more fencing in and somewhere they aren't in constant mud. Guess I have a good start on next year's firewood.

I believe a few PSAR Members divorced the thread due to topic issues.
