May I suggest you do this nude just to liven things up?

you ever seen a bald sasquatch on a quad?

60mph, nude in this weather sounds very painful,,,,,ouch

not to mention,,,,my plumbing might freeze
You could put a little canned foam on it. The bald spot that is.

I wanna see the video of this at the Christmas Party.

I have the cupboard open. The kitchen sticks out from the house about 5 feet and is suspended in the air. It is boxxed in, except fot that vent. I cannot get into the space to wrap the pipe. I would guess that a person small enough to get in there, would not understand what they were supposed to do.
Is the pipe close enough to reach with a paint brush tied to the end of a stick? You may be able to smear some of that canned foam insulation on it and protect it that way. We used this trick to seal up some leaks in a metal grain bin and it worked great. That foam continues to expand for quite a while after it comes out of the can but you have to work fast and it's really messy. May take a couple of coats to get enough on it.
How far does that stuff spray? If it sprays 5-6 feet, I'm dialed.

Under the house there is a 2 foot by 1 foot crawl space, that holds a 6 foot long 1/2inch water pipe. The only vent for that crawl space is right on that pipe. Someone had a real good idea when that was built. I got the pipe thawed and water going. Gonna see if it freezes again, might have to block that vent with insulation????

Why does a crawl space need vented?
OR, OR you could let yer cold water trickle during the night like kuntry folk do
Thought about that one. I would need a banjo, though.
How about a 7 year old with a git tar?
Insert joke about putting bigger wheels on house to make bigger crawl space.

Balmy 26 degrees up here in A-town. Still no power. News says maybe up to 3 more days. Geez.
Tree trimmers are going to be busy for a while with this clean up. Autobody shops, too. Ugly. And more snow tonight. Supposed to rain by morning. Hope we don't have a repeat of the '96 storm with heavy snow then rain collapsing carports, etc.

Need to start calling around and see if I can get any of the tree guys to dump their chips in my yard. I only need a few hundred yards...

Well i just got called into my managers office. She wants me to stay next door at La Quinta (hotel). She is worried I won't make it home or come in, in the morning. I told her i would think about it. Doesn't sound like a bad idea, but i dont' have anything, toothbrush, clothes, etc. I'm not the kind of person that wears the same clothes, especially to work for two days in a row. I think i would get home and back to work just fine.
