If you can get a trouble light, you know the cheapy silver bowl one, and hook it up pointing into the vent with a 75 or 100 watt bulb, it will keep the pipe from freezing until you can get it wrapped.

Is the pipe close enough to reach with a paint brush tied to the end of a stick? You may be able to smear some of that canned foam insulation on it and protect it that way. We used this trick to seal up some leaks in a metal grain bin and it worked great. That foam continues to expand for quite a while after it comes out of the can but you have to work fast and it's really messy. May take a couple of coats to get enough on it.
