Well i just got called into my managers office. She wants me to stay next door at La Quinta (hotel). She is worried I won't make it home or come in, in the morning. I told her i would think about it. Doesn't sound like a bad idea, but i dont' have anything, toothbrush, clothes, etc. I'm not the kind of person that wears the same clothes, especially to work for two days in a row. I think i would get home and back to work just fine.
I wore the same clothes 5 days in a row duck hunting I did change my shorts & socks a couple times

I have the cupboard open. The kitchen sticks out from the house about 5 feet and is suspended in the air. It is boxxed in, except fot that vent. I cannot get into the space to wrap the pipe. I would guess that a person small enough to get in there, would not understand what they were supposed to do.
Is the pipe close enough to reach with a paint brush tied to the end of a stick? You may be able to smear some of that canned foam insulation on it and protect it that way. We used this trick to seal up some leaks in a metal grain bin and it worked great. That foam continues to expand for quite a while after it comes out of the can but you have to work fast and it's really messy. May take a couple of coats to get enough on it.
How far does that stuff spray? If it sprays 5-6 feet, I'm dialed.
Nope, it just squirts out of the nozzle. It's called "Great Stuff" and you can get it at Home Depot or most hardwares. The 5' reach is what the brush on a stick is for. Squirt some on the brush and put it quickly in place. The stuff continues to foam up for awhile and you can build up a thick layer of insulation with repeat applications. Have to let it dry between layers. In warm weather you can put on more after about eight hours. Don't know about now.

If that is a decent hotel they will have "traveler packs" that have the tooth brush, comb and that stuff in it. It should also offer overnight clothing cleaning. If the manager is paying for it just put it all on the bill and enjoy an evening lounging in a nice robe watching TV with room service.
