Rule #1 for CCW is that if you carry and have to deploy (draw) the weapon, you better be willing to shoot or you just gave the bad guy the insturment of your destruction (a gun isn't a magic wand, like on TV and the movies, most of these morons believe you won't shoot or they are too stoned to care). Rule #2 with a carry gun is that you need be comfortable with it. That's shooting it enough so that if you ever do have to use it, it will be second nature. "You do what you have practiced in a stress situation" is very true andis why most cops shoot like crap in a stress situation, not near enough practice. The 357 revolver is a good choice because for practice you can use 38 Special ammo for more practice rounds for the buck and less recoil. The extra recoil and noise of the 357 Mags round will never be felt or heard when the real thing occurs (God forbid that happen).
I always remember the advice given me "If I knew when and where I would need to use my self defense weapon, I just wouldn't go there, then. But you can't and don't, so always carry."

TP just bring your flask with you filled with pie. That way when they want to wash your mouth out tell them to pour some of that into your mouth instead. You can also get drunk while you are laying there. LOL
