Old PSAR thread - please see the new one
Welcome to all of the new people. Rex, I am also in the Lake Stevens area. Just let us know when you would like to go for a ride and somebody would be more than happy to go. This site is great. We might not talk about riding ALL THE TIME, but we have fun what we are doing.
Dm congrats on the promotion!
Sounds like you dunefest guys had a blast.
Moses was a blast. There was 5 of us (all girls). We had some problems but we got through them. First my friend Heidi got stuck in the sand and i unhooked my trailer, getting ready to put the chain on my Tahoe, and a guy came over with his ford, tried to pull her out in 2 wheel drive (that's what i'm assuming since his front tires weren't spinning). He started throwing sand everywhere and he blew his hub. He called his friend to have him pull him out and they all left. So we unloaded both of the quads out of her trailer, i hooked back up to her and i got her out with acouple little tugs. Loaded one quad back up and the other one got rode back to camp. We sat up the HUGE tent, i had my truck running with the lights on, shut my truck off and started unloading stuff from my Tahoe, which took 10 mins max. Tried starting my truck to move it and i had a dead battery. Great, i just deal with it in the morning. Saturday, we rode for a good three hours. I came back tried jumping my tahoe for 10 mins and it wouldn't start. Started taking the battery out, which i had to take 2 brackets off and the fuse box (cover) off to even get the wrench to turn. Went to town to Schucks, the guy told us the battery was completely dead, so i bought a new one. It took probably 10 mins to get everything back on and it started back up...Thank God! Oh yea Friday night my truck got hit with a paint ball gun too. I knew which camp it was so Saturday night, three of us walked to that camp and asked them. They were in there 19 and 20's. I didn't say hi or anything i said who the hell hit my truck with paint *****? Not us!! Oh of course not. One kid piped in and said my truck got hit too, on the dash. I said i dont' care about your damn truck. My truck is alot more newer than this damn thing and mine got hit on the paint and on my 20's . I said i dont' appreciate you guys shooting towards a camp when there is TONS of areas out in the dunes that you can shut at. One kid handed me a beer and said i didn't do it, but i think you need one. I laughed, we all talked for awhile and walked off. About an hour later 10 kids came to our camp, and told us that there camp was the one with the paint ball gun and they were sorry that my truck got hit. They also said the guy that hit my truck was passed out.
Over all we had a great time!! We went swimming on Saturday it was bath water!! Sorry for such a long post!

Both the giant pig and the helicopter are also traveling at the same
speed as you. What must you do to safely get out of this highly
dangerous situation?

I've been to Elbe once and I'm too old and fat to work that hard for a ride anymore. Saying I'm slow now, can not hurt my feelings. I have been very, very fast in my life in several different modes of transportation and now slow works just fine for this old, fat guy just fine.

I have a ton of time to burn I may be in for a day ride. I am up for almost anywhere. If your looking for input unfortunately I only know the places I always ride. Bear if you haven't been to Elbe Hills and are up for a little challenge we could go up there. I know the place like the back of my hand and everybody travels at your speed on the upper loop they have no other choice (no offense intended)

Good Morning PSAR, It looks like everyone made it through the weekend. Glad that everyone is back safely from Dunefest.
WQ, looks like you had a interesting weekend, glad everthing worked out. We rode at Evans Creek on Saturday, short but good. No accidents. It seems to have gotten easier there, more trail maintance or something.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Welcome to all the New Users, glad to have you here.

3 to 4 feet above the asphalt is good enough for me, pilots have me respect, I am a gutsy MF but I am not sure I have the ***** for some of the stuff I have seen them do. I am speaking of chopper pilots specifically most fixed wing pilots are *****'s.

Oh! Yeah, the lack of posts. Even OFC is loosing his daily average. Must be a shift in the cosmic equilibrium brought on by the butterfly effect emanating from massive sand displacement somewhere to the South. Or not.
