HAHA that'd be cool huh think clutching would be a little less expensive but who knows, I wouldn't even WANT to try & build that motor it's a major PIA just to get to anything ask MB LOL might have to go look at a website to see what i can see

Originally posted by: tencubed It means you have about 3 to 4 times the heating capacity available that you would have with a standard 110 outlet. That is the information you need when you are looking for a heater. Should give you enough to warm up an insulated shop that's not too big. If you go with an old electric furnace you will be able to run three heating elements and the fan just fine on 30 amps. That would give you around 20,000 BTU and at 8.5 cents KWH cost about $1.75 per hour of run time. I would pay that to have a place to work that's warm. Heater probably would not be on full time depending on how well insulated the area is and how high you set the t-stat.
It's an attached garage, 650 sqft, sheetrocked but no insulation. Once I get a shed built, I can get all the yard equipment out of the garage, that'll give me more space to work on quads. A garage can become quite cluttered not leaving much elbow room.

Thanks for all the information

Dalton clutch kit. A typical sponsoring mail-order house can suit yer needs for under $150.00
