I am going skiing at Mission Ridge on Jan. 27th. A Cle Elum Ranger told me there was nowhere to ride unless I had a tracked vehicle. Are there any places to ride an ATV in the winter somewhere near Mission Ridge?
The ranger is correct, you cannot ride a quad on the snowmachine trails

So buying and installing one of the track kits for quads would make you legal, right?
No, you cannot get a snowtrail permit unless it is a sled.

What's the best way to clean the mud out of your riding gear?

Rinse them out in the shower (or outside with a hose if your wife's home), toss them in the washer, hang them up to drip dry. I do this will all my riding gear

If it is stained in, start your washer as normal, water and soap in, let the basin fill about 1/4 of the way, and add a Coca cola to it. I know it sounds strange, but it works killer

hose them off in the driveway, then use simple green, hose off, repeat and scrub the stubborn areas. Then launder as normal unless you like smelling minty fresh .
