All tractors SUCK.
Yeah, but the old pony motor, armstrong steering, cable blade, manual tilt and angle, open two inch thick seat, short track, low speed ones sucked the worst.

Anyone know about riding in the Reno/Sparks NV area? I was thinking it would be fun to set up a ride/casino weekend or something of that nature. Who has some first or second hand info?

I googled up some stuff but have never trusted what I find in advertisements after we got burned with one package trip. Like to find someone who has knowledge of the area.

Just think! Four or five days of desert riding and nights at the casinos and shows. And buffets.
I went to Reno in 98. We rented a car and went for a spin. We went more southern to lake tahoe, then up the eastern shore. From there we got on a 4 lane hiway, back toward Reno. Both sides of that hiway were spots with cars, trucks, trailers and many staging areas. We saw quads, bikes and buggies. I thought "dam it would be fun".

Polaris makes a rock solid quad... but a really f@#k'd up design.

The carb came off it's boot. On a sporty it hangs between the boot and the airbox. On the scrammy it is mounted to the frame. I think the engine got knocked forward and pulled the carb off it's boot. When I looked in there the boot was smashed between the carb and the head. I didn't think I hit that hard, but things move. That carb is a real pain to get into the boot and then mounted to the frame...

Interesting enough, the choke now works...
Sounds like it's time to re-invent the wheel............
Did ya check the motor mounts to see if they came loose??????????
I haven't even started putting it together. That, among other things, will be what I check. Time for a valve adjustment as well...
what and where did you hit?
A rock that stopped me instantly while cruising up the trail. Put a decent sized ding in the skid plat.
tha big plastic one?
Mine has an aluminum skid plate up front, Mrs. Toyz has a plastic one. I'm gonna get some skids for the a-arms too, they're lookin' like they take a beatting...
