Is Rock Candy part of Capital Forest? What are directions to Rock Candy. As most of you know I'm fairly new here and just trying to learn all the in's and out's of the local riding areas. Any information on Rock Candy would be great. Looks like you guys picked an awesome day to go riding considering the weather!!! Let me know the next time you guys head out to Rock Candy.

Todd
Yeppers Rock Candy is part of Capital forest... Head South on I-5 take exit 104 (Highway 101) and after about 10-15 miles make a left onto rock candy road They were riding the forest service roads, the trails don't open until April 1st But it is coming up soon

Are the roads that you were on are they logging roads and are they legal for us guys with 4 wheels? I was talking to my buddy at work that knows that area and he said that you had to be legal in order to ride those roads?? If they see you they will ticket you??

Thanks again for all the info.

Todd
Your buddy is correct for the vast majority of service roads but the capital forest area is open to ATV's year round

The roads in Capitol Forest are legal to ride on. You have to have your quad licensed and be wearing a helmet. The trails will open April 1st and there are a bunch of them.

I'm going to stop by RMC tomorrow and see if they are recommending we bring our quads/trailers or not and to confirm the time which I got from a web posting. I'll post what I find out here to confirm for those interested.

I'll be driving my S-10, Cherry Red, with matching canopy on it.

I have a stage 2, 480 big bore, port & polish. I love it!
I didn't like the rev box I borrowed from TP. Harder to start with it on. I also think it runs stronger with the stock box. IMO.
