Bear in mind you'll need to weigh the motorhome in a fully laiden (water, food, gear, bodies) condition as well to get the true number.
Use the gross numbers given on the trailer and the motorhome.
5,000lb hitch on a class c is really good. You'll need to look at aluminum enclosed trailers for something that is useful. They can be ordered taller than 6'. One of the reasons I went to a diesel pusher is so that I could buy a standard car hauler. My trailer is a 20' Continental (mfg by Forest River) 3500lbs with a 7000lb GVW... pleanty for what I do.
My previous MH had a 3500lb hitch, so I was stuck with buying an expensive aluminum trailer to keep within limits. By the way, that expensive aluminum trailer is for sale .

Just talked to my son, Bobby.
His band won the L.A. regional competition. They will now get XM radio play and move on to the national competition!
Voting for the national winner starts Monday. Thanks to everyone that voted and I'll post another link when voting starts again.
Again, THANKS FOR VOTING!
