I tried a pendulum type and then a time response type and hated them both. Found an old Cole Hersey unit that you hook into the brake line and it reacts to the amount of pressure you apply to the foot pedal. You can adjust the resistor bank so the trailer slightly leads the truck. Problem with these units on anti-lock brake systems is they will not work on many vehicles. Messes up the way the anti-lock works. Don't really like the options but the time response type is probably the best in most cases. Just be sure to mount it where you can get to the manual slide switch easy in case you need just trailer brakes to straighten things out.


EDIT: Seems most folks like one brand. Sounds like it works well, may have to give it a try next time I need a controller. Sure not real happy with a couple the ones we have.

Has anyone tried adapting a add on car alarm to their quad? I was at Fry's the other day and saw one that has a lot of options that don't make sense for a quad but the parts that are really needed look like they could be wired in OK.

Anyone tried this?

Im thinkin i need to drag my lazy **** and my skates + BMX up north to kick it with weeman at the skatepark.
