The thing I notice about dark solid dogs is the camera's rarely adjust the exposure right that and the lil booger never stands still. Muddy was sooo easy to take pictures off in any conditions cuz of all his colors.. bugs is challenging.
Ruger becomes invisible after sunset
Moose and drake the same

and all i have to show for it is 2 little bags of stuff and 30lbs of lead
How much was the lead? I am getting low on reloading lead My dad used to get it from tire shops and then add linatype but I don't have a tire shop hook up and i think most are recasting weights these days anyhow.

Kinda makes me nervous about taken him up in the mountains. Of course I plan on being back before dark but it don't always work out that way. I'm not worried about Rico but I need to get some sort of light or something for Ruger.

Our Corgi likes to disappear into the brush in the evening to hunt rats. I have found the lights that bicyclists use on their clothing and bikes work great to keep him in sight. Found them at Fred Meyers, they are LEDs and have several settings from solid on to quick flashing. I put one of these on each side of his leash harness and secure them with tape to keep them from coming off in the brush. Cost around eight bucks each. One word of caution with these, the batteries they come with are junk. Put good ones in if you want them to be on for more than a few hours.

edit: Tried one of the flashing pet tags and found it very difficult to keep track of the mutt. Not bright enough and his body or brush hid it most of the time.
