The only trailer I've found that matches is a Haulmark Race Trailer with flat roof or Haulmark Thrifty Car Hauler with curved roof. Nobody has what I want in stock, thus probably will special order, 3 month wait.
Originally posted by: 2mnyToyz I took the trailer in for some warranty work. Some of the interior walls were warping. One was from a leak in the roof and the other seemed to for some other reason. Anyway, I took it in and they replaced the walls and re-sealed the roof, no big deal.
I go to pick it up and notice one of the panels that were replaced, was replaced with a warped piece of plywood. I pointed it out and the guy (service writer) said that's an illusion with the wood grain. So I put a straight edge on the wall and showed him it was bowed out about an inch. He agreed he needed a new prescription for his glasses.
Then looking at the rest of the trailer, the tech. used white caulking on every panel inside the trailer and sealed up between them. Inside the trailer the panels have a thin strip about 2" wide that covers the joint of the plywood walls. Without the caulk, it looks ok, just natural wood color. Now it has white lines trimming out the plywood. I asked, wtf did you do that for? It looks like ****. He replied, they didn't want moisture getting in or out of the trailer. Granted, it's a cargo trailer and I'm ok with it being kinda rough inside, but it looked nice. Now I guess I'll paint the inside, I was planning on it at some point...
I really don't know what posesses people to go that extra mile to be absolutely retarded... In no way was that caulking doing a thing to prevent the plywood from absorbing moisture and warping, nor would it prevent moisture from going in or out of the trailer since there are vents in the walls anyway.
I didn't say much about the caulking, figuring all I would do is get more pissed and probably chok the chit out of the guy for a relatively insignificant issue.
I left the trailer for them to make sure "ALL" the panels are replaced with flat plywood. We'll see how that goes.

Making the tongue longer is a pretty simple project.

Thanks, I've been on CL everyday, I need atleast a 42" tongue, prefer 47", everything on CL is 33". The whole problem with the MH is finding a decent hitch weight with the longer tongue. I spent an hour at the trailer place today, probably will have to special order in order to get what I need.

The suprising part (to me at least) is they don't seem to have a clue that I will never take my stuff there if I have to pay out of pocket for a repair. Absolutely no confidence that they'll treat my stuff right.
They did a hack job on the stereo in the motorhome... another time where I figure it's just not worth pushing the issue, I could fix it myself faster than they could pull their head out. I figured I was buying a motorhome, not a stereo.
I do see some RV's there for repairs of some sort, but not many. I've done business with some other places that are hard to get into for what I would call an ok job, this explains why. Apparently my bar is set a little high...

they must not have a drug testing policy
wouldnt it be nice if you could just do the work yourself and give em a bill

i imagine theyve got some pretty crafty engineers that could design and build you something really nice for the inside of that thing
