Do you want to tell Val this information while she's watching nothing in the Family Room?

Hap, bummer about the TV

As you probably already know, TV's have gotten better and cheaper in the last five years. I would reccomend an LCD over a plasma to replace it and you will proabably spend less on the LCD today than you did on that big screen 5 years ago and not take up near as much space To me a 42' LCD is all the TV anyone would ever need.
Everyone I know with high end plasma's have had some sort of problem with them it seems like and have gone to LCD's. Because of this, I went with an LCD HDTV, the picture is excellent and Julie and I love it.

Mirage - Idaho

Haulmark - Utah

Pace America - Utah

Interstate - Utah

Maybe the pay scale is lower down there, materials could be cheaper, cost of living is too high out west.

Don't you have a fireplace? Sprinkle some of those crystals that make the flames turn colors and she'll never know you're gone!

Haulmark trailers in the SE sell for more than 2K less than here.
I would guess most of it is mark up, not pay scale related.

Plasmas have come a long way in the last two years and since a lot of people are still afraid of them due to problems from the ealrier models, they are acually less expensive now than LCD's.
LCD's do not have a glare problem though, that can be present with a plasma if you have it in a room with a lot of sunlight.

The set that crapped out was a 53", we need to go HDTV anyway and LCD is good, (we have a 32" LCD in the bedroom). Our Family Room is fairly large, nothing less than 60" would work
