Those in the know... is there anything that should be used to lube a flat slide carb? Randy was talking about a dry film lube last night.
I have heard of folks sending the slides down to performance coatings in Auburn and having them impregnated with a dry film type of goo, similar to the process they use on piston skirts.

Performance Coatings, Auburn Wa

That is what I was refering to, they also have dry film lubricants that you can apply your self in the shop at home that work well.

The marvel mystery oil works well also when running race fuel and does a good job of lubing the slide and top end.

Thanks for the advice BigD and Randy!

that's my plan, any plans for breakfast going over the Hill? and what time are you early birds planning on going?
My group will probably be leaving the Auburn area around 6:00am. We usually don't stop for breakfast on the way to Beverly, but, it's up to my homies I'm traveling with

We rode the Tahuya River trail over to the 4x4 trails then back to the staging area for some skid plate tightening (not mine). We then took the Mission Creek trail to the pit, across the road to Overland and all those trails over there, then back on Mission Creek trail, after a few wrong turns and dead ends, and the staging area for a short break (it was about 3PM by this time) Then we rode out to Goat Ranch road and down to Spillman Campground, then to the 4x4 trails and a nasty little hill climb. I made it up, alomost flipping at the top and then I told the others not to try it. Then back to the staging area. Finishing up around 4:30. Great fun! Just now washing the dirt out of the gear.
Now that sounds like a great ride, good job keeping the rubber side down

Evening PSAR

WOW what a beautiful day out today we gots LOTS done in the yard FINALLY!!!
Got an esy up that went down hard tore down & put in a pile oh well, also got about 5 sets of quad tires taken up top to go w/the other 40 sets BUT i found some new fronts for mine I was needing some bad but didn't want to spend the $$ right now, these are like new yeah it's pretty bad when you don't know what ya got haha
Worked in a damn mudd bogg all day, our yard is still sooooo wet need to get a couple dump truck loads of gravel hauled in, hell pretty soon we won't have any yard left to mow it'll ALL be gravel, won't hurt my feelings any!!

Got all the flower beds cleaned out, it's like the plants said THANKS haha, they got hit w/ some sun & fertilizer heck they are loving life, the fish got some food & the pump turned back on everyone is happy now

Took Sportie(my border collie x) for a car ride today, HE DIDN'T GET SICK YIPEEEE, we took him up the road & walked him thru a development being built, went & looked @ a house very nice but not $400K nice my Dad is working on them(finish work) so he let us in.
The dog did pretty good, he try's to charge/run after moving cars & growls @ them, we will hopefully break him of that!! It was a TOTALLY new world for him, he's been a "yard dog" for his life only car trips to the vet so he needs some patience but he's a good boy, he came home & was wore out LOL

Well hope everyone had a good sunny day

I am also POOPED so I am taking a shower & hittin' the hay early!!

Evening PSAR

Been looking for a cheap reliable car all day. Looked at about 6 and there was issues with all of them except 1 and that one was sold while we were on the test drive If any of you find see or know of anybody selling a car let me know! I am looking at 3,000 Smackers Max. Anything less would be even better. It just has to be reasonably clean and run good. It is for my sister in law we are trying to help her out.
