Old PSAR thread - please see the new one
I am going to Portland tomorrow to pick up a couple new toys, well 5 new toys to be exact. I am picking up a couple Banshee's, a 660 Raptor, another VForce & another DVX400. The stable is growing too fast. They are also coming in another enclosed trailer. Good thing I got a big shop.
PS
They will all be for sale.

hey folks just checking in again!
how's the riding been lately? how's everyone doing?
I've been doing OK, been looking at pursuing a new career field and taking some school to get there..... unfortunately it means I may have to sell all the toys..... for now. know anyone that might be interested in a gasgas?

asking $4900. I have some front sand tires but no paddles, and it comes with a set of maxxis razr tires.
as for mods- zero preload shocks revalved/sprung by MXtech, FMF silencer, LTR powervalve cover, LTR water pump impeller, LTR 120mm rear suspension linkage dogbones, banshee thumb throttle, steering stabilizer(needs a rebuild), GG screw-on gas cap, lighting system removed, graves seat cover..... I'm sure there's more...
For those who are interested, I'll repost the information about the Oregonian article that will start in tomorrows paper.
There is a 4 part series on "Why ATVs pose a deadly risk". The ad for it is half page, with a picture of an ATV rider going
past a cross stuck in the sand similar to the roadside shrines you see. Verbage under the picture reads:
"Beginning Sunday and over four days, The Oregonian documents the dangers of riding ATVs - all-terrain vehicles - and
how the industry has largely escaped regulation, across the country, and in Oregon. It is the story of injury and death,
of a determined industry and of toothless enforcement by the very government agency charged with protecting consumers".
The article should be available at OregonLive.com.

I just talked to Jayna on the phone. She is in the Costo parking lot, looking for her stolen car. She sounded frusterated(duh). I wish I could help, but I have 8 people meeting here at 11:00. If there is a north endern hanging out, I think Jayna would likea hand.
I just talked to LdyJay again. Her 1995 Saturn 4 door is white, with left rear body damage. The license plate is: 287-svw. If you see it in south Everett or where evr call her or the 911 help ful people. She has a ride home, so that is good.

The manual says something like that, but I am having a blonde moment and it just isn't clicking. Does that mean I should have 1/2"-1" of free wiggle before I pull the lever in or I should it be that I pull in the lever and the clutch shouldn't start to engage until I have let it back out 1/2"-1". Sorry to be a pain, I should know this already, but I have just fiddled with it too much and never been confident I was doing it correctly.
When I put it all back together, I don't know if I put the little lever at the right angle on the motor. Anyone have any idea how much the lever on the motor should travel? It goes maybe a 1/2" now when I pull the lever on the handlebar all the way in. I wonder if that makes any sense to anyone? I am thinking I probably should have resolved this a while ago. I may have just plain toasted my clutch already.

Do you have Saturdays off yet?
You should have 1/2" - 1" of free play in your clutch handle, BEFORE the clutch engages.

I need to adjust my clutch in the Z400. I really don't think I have ever really had it adjusted right.
It shouldn't be all the way tight, right? I should have a little free play in the lever when it's disengaged?

the way I do it...... where the handle and the perch meet, directly over the cable, should have 1/8" to 3/16" of play.

Had a big bag of mail on the back seat so they have my address now. They better hope they don't try when I am home. Guess it's time to start setting the alarm and stop feeding the dog.
