Default Puget Sound/Seattle/Northwest Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Soooo, the wife and I haven't been riding much lately with the arrival of the first youngster this summer. We've been talking about how we're going to go about our trips to the sand next summer. She hates tent camping and refuses to camp like that now that there are three of us.

I had this bright idea that I'd take a look at some "C" class motor homes figuring they were nicer than tent camping and cheaper than a big motor home or buying a toy hauler (and a truck with the towing capabilities) WOW those thing can be pricey. For some reason I was thinking I could pick a really nice one up for $25-30K. So much for thinking I was going to find a cheap way to get out of tent camping.

Hmmm I could save you about $20K I got a class C for sale for $2500 OBO needs just a little love(hitch replaced) but it's been on quite a few trips!! IF you are serious I'd go w/ a class A, cuz you'll be buying one in a few years anyway LOL, we just picked up a 33 1/2' one for a good deal, granted it's painted BLUE but it's Yammi BLUE
anyway if you might be interested LMK

You ever take the ponies out campin? It was an awsome 3 day trip. Im glad i finally got the wizzbang rino I was puttin Markers all over at each trail intesection i hit. and places i thought would make good camps</end quote></div>

Spent many weeks working cattle and spending nights out with a horse and a couple of dogs. Some of it was fun but most of the time it was hot and dusty or cold and wet. Like the quad a whole lot better. So far the quad has not offered to kick, bite or try to rub me off on a tree. It also seems to be better behaved when a few hornets show up.

Way easier to feed and clean up after and the expense is much less than a horse. Also the quads are a heck of a lot faster to get things done with.

We're down to just a few head of horses on the farm but the quad count keeps going up.

Last time I spent a couple of days on a horse, which was last spring, my back was sore for about a week. Just don't move that way anymore I guess.

All that being said, if I were able it would be nice to spend a week just roaming around the Goat Rocks Wilderness area again. Or ride the Crest Trail across Washington and Oregon. Good times. [img][/img]</end quote></div>

Aint that the truth.... But even with all that its still quite nice to be out plodding along in wilderness hearin nothin but the birds chirpin chipmunks chucklin and hoofs clickin along. some times a feller needs a low stress git away. Mind ya the horsey i was borrowin wasn't as push button as mine. though we came to an understandin pretty quick about what i expected. Maintain gait until otherwise requested, and stay on the trail... pretty simple requests . horsey didnt wanna go slow.. so ran him straight up a mountain till he wouldnt go no more he decided he didnt wanna stay on the trail.. so we walked thru belly high blowdown for a mile.. he decided the trail was better

Didn't really "do" anything, clutch just started to wear out so it's time for a new one and the end piece on my pipe keeps vibrating loose no matter how many times I re-rivet it.
