Old PSAR thread - please see the new one
Good Morning PSAR. I am sitting in the airport in Indianapolis waiting for my flight back home. Ihope that everyone had a great weekend.
Talk to you all later.
Talk to you all later.
We had a great time at the dunes!
The weather was fantastic on Friday and Saturday. It poured Saturday night and it rained off and on on Sunday but we still got a lot of riding in. Yesterday morning it was pouring again so we loaded up and headed home.
All in all it was a great trip! There was minor carnage and just some major bruising.
We were riding no more than 5 minutes on Friday when RodRod cased a small dune. Over the bars he went with the quad following him. He managed to bend BOTH tie rods really bad! He also pushed the bars forward with his legs! (That's where the major bruising came from) He had a fun time riding it back to camp with both front tires pointed out! Luckily he had one spare tie rod and so did I. We were back out riding in no time!
I started to have clutch issues (slippage) and it turned out I had gotten some water in my tranny oil. I changed it 3 times to finally get it cleaned out but the damage to the clutch was done. It slips ever so slightly when I get on the power in 4th and 5th. I was still able to rip though! I'm actually surprised the stock clutch lasted as long as it did with all the engine mods I have done.
Also time to get a new pipe, I have re-riveted the end cap on my pipe every ride and the last ride on Sunday night it fell completely off! Thinking Yoshimura!
CindyLouWho has decided it's time for her's to be piped now! So I have some wrenching to do.
Oh yeah, I guess I have to mention that I got up close and personal with Jayna's lake! I was side hilling in 5th when other traffic on the hill forced me to the bottom at a very high rate of speed Instead of flipping it at the bottom trying to stay out of the water I locked up the brakes and ended up splashing down with a huge wall of water. I ended up in about two feet of water and was completely soaked. All was good as I had help to pull the quad out and we all laughed about it! I did manage to ruin a camera in the process!
It was a great trip, can't wait for the next one!
