Hye guys/gals I'm wondering about the terrain @ Reiter??? Is it really rocky?? I have no rear skid, I could put on one if needed but just curious, aren't riding this weekend wanted to go to Hannegan but not sure if it's gonna rain or not & I'[m tired of setting my quad up & down up & down haha but Ron may like to come up there. Just wondering how fast/slow of a pace everyone goes @?? I guess if worse comes to worse I can kick the kid off my Kodiak & take that back over LOL

Hey Bill,

I resemble that remark about the SR. But you must have forgotten about a certain lady. She knows who she is. So I wont say who. But I do think her hubby's name was mentioned along with mine.

Dan,

Are you in charge of reserving the spots ar Easton for the 4th. Or who is doing that? Seems like we need to get that taken care of. If you want me to get them I will, I just need to know the spot numbers and how many.

Larry,

Do you realize we are riding the next three weekends in a row? Im still trying to decide if I want to do tomorrow or Reiter or both. Ill let the weather man help me decide I think. But hey, I like to ride every chance I get. Concidering I dont htink I have more than about 10 hours on the machine I bought almost 2 months ago.

Oh well, of to do yard work before the rains hit

The USFS is in the process of revising thier forest plans for the Colville, Okanogan, and Wenatchee National forests. Many of the changes will (and just might- if we don't get involved) involve motorized access, and wilderness designations! PLEASE get involved!!

Join the Effort to Revise the Forest Plan!

Many people care deeply about how national forests are managed. Whether you visit them regularly and have intimate knowledge of them, or simply dream about visiting them, you can make a difference in how your national forest is managed for the future.

You are invited to join us as we change the "blue print" that directs management of your National Forests. Currently, a team of Forest Service employees is revising the plans for the Colville, Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forests. Your ideas and opinions will be important to updating the plans, which were last completed in 1988, 1989, and 1990 respectively. By law this blueprint, officially known as the Land and Resource Management Plan, is revised every ten to fifteen years.

Plans define how the Forest Service manages the National Forests. Each national forest and grassland in the United States has its own plan which establishes the desired future condition for the land and resources, and sets broad, general direction.

Forest operations must be consistent with Forest Plan standards and guidelines, as well as its goals, objectives, and management requirements, and all relevant overarching laws and regulations. Although management plans identify where and under what conditions an activity or project can proceed, they do not normally make site-specific decisions to undertake particular projects.

Forest Plans make these 6 decisions:

o Establish forest-wide multiple-use goals and objectives.

o Establish the forest-wide management requirements for implementing projects under the plan.

o Determine the boundaries of management areas and prescribe the activities that may be applied in them.

o Identify land suitable for producing timber and establishes how much timber the Forest Service is allowed to sell from lands suited for timber production.

o Establish what the Forest Service must do to monitor and evaluate management activities and effectiveness.

o Evaluate and determine whether roadless areas should be recommended as part of the National Wilderness Preservation system, and address which rivers and streams be recommended for inclusion in the Wild and Scenic Rivers system.

Much has changed in our world and in the management of the national forests since the late 1980s and early ‘90s. Ecological conditions have changed, public expectations are different, and new laws and regulations have been implemented since the plans were originally created. These changes need to be reflected in the new forest plans.

Rather than making sweeping change, Forest Service planners expect to build on the existing forest plans and make changes only as necessary.

The Forest Plan Revision effort is expected to be completed by March, 2006 so there’s plenty of time for you to join us and not get left behind! Some public meetings have already been held, and more will be planned as new information is available. Besides public meetings, you can also participate anytime by writing us via U.S. Mail, e-mailing us your comments, or by giving us a call on the phone. Where are you meeting and what time on the 12th? Will it be the first gravel road or the second after the main gravel pit? I would like to show up for that ride. I'll be in a green 2000 S10 ZR2 with a two quad trailer. I'l be riding a green Vinson and my buddy has a red one.
Upper staging area, about 2 miles past gravel pit staging on left. Follow gravel/dirt road to power lines. I plan on being there by 9:00AM
Come join the fun. I drive a Crimson (burgandy) F250 4X4 with canopy and a flat bed car hauler trailer loaded with 4 quads.

Depends where you ride at Reiter. If you want to ride to the top of the mountain or to the wall you should have full skids. Other wise they're not needed. Neat waterfall you can ride to also (after short walk).
I ride fast at times, then have to wait for my wife. I will have my oldest son with us (22 years old) and he's only ridden once before. Lots of areas to ride to set your own pace. Come join the fun.

Nick -

Oh and her name rhymes with Salary, who could that be?? Yeah, like no ones going to figure that one out huh?? I earned all of my years thanks! Some of you guys are running pretty darn close behind too

I PM'd Dan to see what we should do to get the back 40 like they all had before so we'll see what he says we need to do. Still need to hear a definite from a few to book them a spot. So far...

You put us in the wrong spot. Also, if the name is under my name move them to the other list. That way everyone goes. If they can't get the 5th off I'll call the bosses and handle it. Granted you might not work the 6th or after, but the 5th is tours.
