Here's a link to the forest service broucher. The page that comes up gives you a perspective ofrelative location north of Coos Bay. Campground is about where the 101 sign is.

anyone have any opinions on studded snow tires?

lots of neat looking tires out there,,,,but which one to get?

Good morning PSAR!

Bing: I've had good luck with a number of types but have found that having them "Sipped", that is the cross cuts put in them, makes a real difference in how they hang on. We have been running Les Schwab tires for years on the farm with excellent service/results. I have a set of 14" radials you can have if you want them. Good tread and studded. Mounted on GM wheels, small five hole pattern.

( Sipped?, Siepped? wonder how that's spelt? )

SIPED [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] yes siping them is a good thing [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] as Martha would say [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] costs about $8 per tire to have done, just like siping the Hoosiers [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] traction traction traction!! I think studded tires would be great for out here w/ all the ice, have never ran them though. I just plugged along w/o haha [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] or don't drive!1
