Good morning PSAR!
Bing: I've had good luck with a number of types but have found that having them "Sipped", that is the cross cuts put in them, makes a real difference in how they hang on. We have been running Les Schwab tires for years on the farm with excellent service/results. I have a set of 14" radials you can have if you want them. Good tread and studded. Mounted on GM wheels, small five hole pattern.
( Sipped?, Siepped? wonder how that's spelt? )

SIPED yes siping them is a good thing as Martha would say costs about $8 per tire to have done, just like siping the Hoosiers traction traction traction!! I think studded tires would be great for out here w/ all the ice, have never ran them though. I just plugged along w/o haha or don't drive!1
