Hey all,
I have a form letter for those of you who ride, or are supportive of the Tahuya/Green Mt. forest. I did not get an address for the Belfair DNR office from Jon or Phil, so if you send me the letters, I will get them to them as soon as I get them from you. E-mail is nice, but a nice typed or written letter is better.
I know this belongs in land-use, but I knew this would be a better opportunity to get to fellow Tahuya riders.
Phil Wolf and Jon Byerly,
I or WE support the IAC ORV Maintenance and Education and Enforcement Grant.
Our club has provided over 700 hours of volunteer hours to support the trail maintenance efforts in the forests. The trail crew provides much needed support for these efforts. Crew members often join in to help during our work parties.
There is limited opportunities in the Puget Sound region where can recreate. The Tahuya/ Green Mt. provides us with a good and safe place to ride.
I or We urge the IAC to fund projects in high use areas like the Tahuya and Green Mt. State Forests.
Signed,
Your Name
Of course the club paragraph will have to be changed to what you do for recreation and how often, and family riding is always good. Or, if you want, you may claim yourself to be a West Sound Quad Rider, as long as you stick to the principles of the letter. (the bigger we look, the better I suppose)
Thanks for letting me take up a whole page guy's!
John

Oh Yeah, did I mention Green Mt., I haven't seen anybody talk about that yet on the posts. If anybody is interested, let me know. The trails are tight in places and the area isn't very big, but the views are incredible, and our trail system is going to be expanded with a little work. Anyhow, it's a new place to check out, and it's located near the Tahuya. Oh yeah, don't tell anyone.

HappaRap,
You know last weekend, Rusty was talking about how Mid-Century wasn't covering Off-Road Vehicles anymore and he had to pay $280 something per year.... I said to him that I only paid $110 for full coverage through Mid-Century... I just got my "Non Renewal Notice" today and that I have the option to go through Foremost for $286 per year... What a freakin' rip-off! (They need an emotion with steam coming out of his ears)
Must be from all these guys trying to mow over trees... (just kidding ).
I just called my agent and asked him to look around... I insure three quads for full coverage and that gets expensive, especially now. I may have to change my title to NotsomnyToyz...

Ouch!!! That really sucks 2mny. Notsomny won't work though, I'm just getting used to the names around here. I hope you have better luck with another insurance company. Did they specify why?
Will be at Sandlake Thanksgiving Weekend, #292 on a Raptor.

I just got a quote from allstate (insures my home) for $170/year per quad. That's more that what I was paying but definately not close to $286. I'll let you guys know what I end up with.

Check out some of the insurance threads here on the forum, I'd use the search button above, there's been a lot of discussion about insurance, and maybe Yam926 will give you his carrier info, it seems that they handled things quickly! (or so I've gathered)

The newsletter would be greatly appreciated for those of us with the iron curtain installed in our systems. So if we ride at your special place, do we need to grab a shovel and pick for a work and ride day, Mt. Green? I think you need to organize a ride for the ones who are interested in getting involved with your efforts, so you can possibly give a pep talk on what it's all about. At least that way we could shoot questions and you could shoot answers back on the spot.
I went to Beverly, it was great, I'm gonna stop racing predators, their giving me a complex. I think this weekend the 15th, 16th, needs to be a work at home, finish the leaves project and spend some time with Hollywood (Val). Whatever project you jump into this weekend, good luck, happy trails to you.

Hello everyone this is a little off the main topic, and I probably should have asked this question here first. My Mudlites arrived, figured I would take them down to Schwab to get mounted, since they sell atv tires and the like. Guy at the store, looks at them says it will be expensive and that he won`t take any responsiblity if they mess up a tire, which sometimes happens. Well I left them there, guy I was dealing with, actually did sound like he knew what was what. Have I made a terrible mistake, is there a place in the northend that mounts atv tires at a resonable price. As I said, should have asked here first then I wound n`t be worrying. thanks all Marty.
