Here is something we could think about if you guys are interested in getting a club together for this area...
Why should your club Join the ATVA?
Gain national exposure
Growing your ATV club can sometimes be tough, often because it's hard to find and reach other ATVers And for individual riders, finding a club nearby can be equally difficult. The ATVA helps bring enthusiasts together. Each month, as new clubs join, we'll announce them in our bi-monthly publication, ATVA News, sent to all members. And all clubs will be listed right here in the club section of ATVAonline.
Likewise, when your club sanctions an ATVA event, we'll list your event both in ATVA News and here, giving ATVers across the country information about your events. This allows you to boosts attendance and brings in new club members.
Get comprehensive insurance coverage
Has your club run into roadblocks when property owners ask for a certificate of insurance? We're here to help. We're currently working on a number of different types of insurance coverage for clubs. Our buying power as a large member organization allows us to obtain insurance at very competitive prices. We administer spectator and participant legal liability insurance programs, and we help clubs obtain general insurance that can cover everyone from club directors and officers to individual landowners. If your club promotes anything from a poker run to motocross event, the ATVA can meet your needs.
Empower your club
Our sport of ATVing is challenged by land closures, irrational legislation and discriminatory regulations Our government relations department educates and empowers clubs, helping them become involved in political, legislative and regulatory arenas on all levels. ATVing can flourish only with the full participation of our members in the political process, and we're here to help you.
How does your club join the ATVA?
First, consider whether your club should be chartered with the ATVA as a promoting club or a social club.
To charter as a social club, all you need are five club members who currently belong to the ATVA or the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA). We'll provide you with new member applications along with your social club application, allowing you to sign up as many new members as you'd like.
If your club has 10 or more ATVA members, we'll waive the annual $25 social club charter fee. E-mail CharterClubs@ATVAonline.com or call 866-ATVA-JOIN (866-288-2564), to get new membership applications along with your club application.
Promoting clubs host races like motocross, hare scrambles, TTs, flat-track or ice races. Promoting clubs must have 10 or more members, one of whom is designated as an insurance and communication officer. Also, at least one member of your club must attend an ATVA or AMA risk-management seminar before conducting sanctioned events. The annual charter fee for a promoting club is $35, which will be waived if your club has 20 or more ATVA members.
