Rocky Ridge, out west of Sanger. One of my favorite local spots.

I've heard that Marshall Creek at Grapevine lake is pretty nice place. Only 45 min. from Plano, I havent been yet, probably going there this weekend.

Marshall Creek is OK but nothing compared to Rocky Ridge, Flying P or Shilo Ridge. Of course Marshall Creek is free, but with all the rain lately I am sure the lake is up which reduces some of the riding area.

you can camp at Rocky Ridge..I think about $15.00 per night.. If you camp I would get by the lake unless it is raining. You can camp just about anywhere..

As far as any other places to ride in the area..
The closest would be Lake Lavon. There is a place on the south/east side of the damn that is o.k.
There is also Muenster(aka.Red River riding)Nice place as long as there are no races going on.
There is Lake Murray in Oklahoma, also a nice place and a good place to get away for a weekend..they have cabins on the lake that are for rent..Only bad thing about that is that you have to trailer the fourwheelers about 4 miles from cabins to riding area..riding area is nice you can ride along the lake.
also there is a place north of bonham on the red river..It currently is not regulated very heavily and is on the oklahoma side..This place is closer than the others and offers sand, mud and some hills.

East Texas has the best riding areas in Texas. If you get a chance there are places out there that you should visit. Fun wheeler park in longview and there is a place along I-20 that from what I have heard has everything you could want and then some...and it is free!!!

if you would like some info on any of these place, send me an e-mail...I have been to all of these except the one on I-20.

At Lavon, are there any trails on the south side of 78 (under the bridge)? I was out there last week and didnt have time to go under the 78 bridge.

Lake Murray sounds pretty nice. Drop me an e-mail sometime with some info. on that place.
