I think your right about chats and the whole legal issue too, and deff expect to see you there when your up to it.

Rob sounds familiar and I used to deal with that shop so I may know him (Sorry really bad with names) but most likely not really well.

Man its been a while since I road anywere, thats mostly because I bought my house and been buzy. But we ride down around Tuckerton, but have been scared to do any riding lately after some newspaper articals stating some seroius fines. Why is it getting so bad, when I first started riding, about 4 years ago the law would just tell you to leave, or give a simple trespassing ticket. My question is what does the future hold?

As long as you stay in trails the cops don't care. Did you ever ride in frenchies pit or dumps?

The future holds exactly what we put into protecting our right to enjoy our sport as a group, and unless more riders are willing to put in any effort and get involved in some way I dont see a pretty picture in the future.

There have been small accomplishments by the small amount of people who are putting their time and $$$ into this fight, but in comparison to other groups (environmental, boating, fishing or hunting etc) were a really sad bunch.

Couple things I know for sure is that even though I keep spending the $$ chats is too small, and even the mountains of PA that I seriously enjoy tackling are honestly too far to ride every weekend etc so its only a matter of time before I start to lose interest due to all the BS. Sure there are some great local spots, and some are even fairly safe (with the **** patrols out there nothing is 100%) but its just total bull to have to be looking over your shoulder and if caught the penalties are seriously stupid and unjustified.

Its our choice, but it looks like too many chose to worry only about themselves.

I wouldnt say I thought you were wrong because I have not rode in that area for a real long time, but I do know more than once there have been people who were either chased down, tricked or just plain old ambushed on the trails all over nj (especially ocean county).

Hey if you want a place to ride come on down to Eagleswood NJ, this coming Saturday Oct. 15th. We’re putting on round#1 of the Fall ATV Atlantic Grand Prix Series. It’s part of the Meteor / Sierra Sands Grand Prix Hare Scrambles.

Actually we’re doing 5 events through the remainder of 2005 and have 14 events planned for 2006 with almost half of them in New Jersey.

Everyone is always complaining about not having a place to ride in New Jersey, well now someone is trying to do something about it.

If you want a place to ride come out Oct 15th and support the event.

Find out more about the Atlantic Grand Prix Series at: AtlanticGrandPrix.com
