anybody from the area. thinking about buying the kids a quad but dont know where they could ride
with me. like to be someplace that we would not have to deal with angry neighbors or the police
my friends go to places but not with their kids.

The only legal public place to ride is The Mounds in Mt. Morris. It's close to Flint. 200 acres. The first few times we rode there it was great. We made the mistake of going to Tennessee and riding at Windrock. It has completely spoiled us. We haven ridden in Michigan since.
You can also go to Bull Gap. We did enjoy riding there. It's near Mio. There are over 3000 miles of trails in Southern Michigan, but all of them are north of the thumb area.
Hope this helps....Scott

As far as I know the most southern area (public) in Mi is the Mounds.
All Mi riders should visit atvoffroad.net and Michigan ATV Association.
