I have been all through afton cyn and to rasor road (many years ago) but i do not remember any dunes out there that are legal. Is it a fairly large area of dunes? We were to go to some other dunes this weekend but the weather may not be good.

 

The Dunes at Rasor are legal.

Go in Rasor rd untill you come to the large clump of trees, look to your right and you will see them. I guess 3-4 miles away.

 

Would that be north (west) or south (east) of the I-15 fwy.

 

Heading North you would turn right at the end of the offramp then left right before the gas station and kinda paralell the fwy for a few them it curves right......About 5 miles to the large clump of trees.

We all should plan on goin out there soon.

 

Well, i'm definitely going to check it out. I might not have the bikes at first, but i am going to take the Jeep out to explore. I might go this weekend if the weather cancels my planned dune trip.

 

We will most likely do a camping trip there on the weekend between Christmas and New Years: 12/26 thru 12-29

VForce-Rasor doesn't look like much from a distance. You have to get into it to discover what it has to offer. My favorite is what we call the "pick-and-choose". It is sandy trails burned in around the bushes. You will find a bunch of them just west of the big trees at the end of the road. The trails wind around all over the place, and the front rider picks the trail, and everybody else has to follow him. Dsneyland doesn't have a ride that is that much fun!!
